That is Chief's schtick..he acts cool sometimes to sucker nice people into thinking he's alright...It is just a farce, the dude is a garbage troll. He got me like that for a while..no more.

He may not be SEC caliber, but he doesn't have a bad arm.

I was not excited about Hunter Johnson when everybody was freaking out because he was the #1 5* hotshot commit and I said so, but I never trashed the guy like you have Maurer till he decommitted.

Ok, why are you personally offended about a guy you may never meet? That’s where we aren’t connecting at all. Do you have some personal connection with the kid? He was all OSU until they chose another guy over him. He’s not entrenched in Vol history, so why do you have such a strong desire to offend his honor? I really don’t understand

I don't come to this part of VN much, well I lurk, but don't post here anyway..but here is my question:

I feel like we have 3 solid RBS maybe even 4. I think we have 2 solid young QBs in shrout and Maurer? ..but I feel like with the ridiculous schedule we play and CJP being a defensive guy, we really need a 5 star, can't miss, elite running back on order to take the step next year (19) and 2020...I think we will have a 7 and 5 type season this year, probably win 8 or even 9 games next year..but to break thru and win the east, to hit that 10 win threshold, we are gonna need an ELITE running back for this pro style offense. Are we even being mentioned in the recruiting of the top 5 backs in the country next year? Who are the can't miss backs for 19 and 20? How do y'all feel about the backs we have?

You got a friend in me buddy. I did the same with Butch. Folks were ready to throw me in a fiery furnace for saying Jones wasn't going to cut it. Same situation here, just with a recruit that no one has any idea whether he'll pan out or not. But if you're the least bit hesitant, get ready to fight.

No not just now. My original point was he didn't have any good offers. I said new Orleans probably offered more than GS but not much like you said. Boogie is the one who said he didn't get any offers. And it sounds like he didn't really if none were serious enough to be official offers. No official offers were made that has been reported which is a pretty good indication of a lack of options and certainly nobody offered even half of a max deal which is what you originally claimed he turned down many of.

He's a Vol until he is not. I may criticize harshly, but not specifically, and it is in generalities.

PS..Before anybody says it..I know I jumped the gun and dragged DKjr, but in my defense he did send out a tweet saying he was quitting...even so I admitted I was wrong.

I just don’t understand why people get so upset concerning an opinion that is different than their own, especially when the person involved doesn’t really mean anything to them on a personal level. Now, if I were to come on here and criticize Fulmer, Holloway, or Manning I could understand some strong criticism. Those guys are part of the fabric of Volunteer nation. The last 10 years of UT football have been embarrassing, and we have lost a decade of young fans due to the mistakes that our administration has made. Excuse me for not jumping in line and blindly following the current regime. If it weren’t for the vocal minority Butch or Schiano would be our coach today.

I'm with you. I swear I'm already more confident in Pruitt and the staff now than in any point under Jones. Kind of an unfamiliar calm for me personally. I just don't get fired up over 3 star recruits.
