you have provided no evidence other than a rumor from before any deals could be offered and what you believe about his market value. All of the actual evidence (and logic since nobody was gonna pay a head case coming off a ruptured achilles only 5 months ago who probably won't play til the end of the season and may never fully recover much more than he got) shows that he was very limited in his options.

And speaking of evidence, don't accuse me of lying when a quick word search in this site of drexler pulls up yer original post. Yer right in that you didn't say they were "much older" you said they were both 35 plus. But you were trying to imply it. And it was easily shown to be false as drexler was 30 when he played against jordan (29) in the finals and stockton was 34 when he played jordan (33) in the finals. Additionally, it was not about playing against a team full of younger superstars, you argued that he didn't guard the best player on the other team and i put up stats showing that he did. And you attempted to discredit my actual evidence with some made up "fact" (sensing a pattern) trying to imply that the were older so they weren't as difficult to guard. Then i again responded with factual evidence that they were all the same age.

I'll stop with this though since it is pointless when all you do is counter evidence with yer feelings about what may have possibly happened because you can't fathom that nobody would pay him this year. Don't worry, this is likely going to end up with him signing a big deal with la bron next year once he proves he recovered. And with leonard probably ending up there too next year lebron will have his super team. :hi:

Can somebody start a Jordan Huff thread? I heard he decommitted from MSU and is considering us. :detective:

You only are bringing up what cousins said about his offers. So you are taking what a player says as gospel (that’s cute). Even tho the best nba writer and beat writers from multiple teams says they were offers. Also ignoring the fact that cousins himself has changed his story 3 times about having significant offers, then only Celtics and warriors, then only warriors. But ok I’ll go with the gospel from the valiant character of one boogie cousins.

On to Jordan/Drexler comment. You literally accused me of saying and i quote “member when you tried to sneak in that Stockton and Drexler were way older than jordan, i member” and then suddenly you have no evidence of me saying that and realized that you showed your ass so you admit i never said that. And then you try and pull the “well you were trying to imply it”

lol ok bud.

If you don’t believe Woj then you’re in complete denial. He’s the best in the game. He pretty much tweeted the entire first round of the draft hours before it happened.

If you weren't trying to imply that they were older than Jordan, then what was the point of the post? You don't need to answer cause everyone could see that is what you were trying to imply cause why would their age matter if they were the same age. Also, even what you did say without what you were trying to imply was false since neither one of them was 35+.

As far as Boogie goes, you still aren't providing evidence. Where are the links showing all these offers? All I've seen is tweets from people who were speculating on teams who may want him. How bout this from yer beloved nba writer Wojnarowski?

But didn’t he say that the pelicans offered him a bigger deal?

He speculated that they would but that was before free agency even started when there is always false info being floated out there. He is also the one who wrote the article saying that Boogie told Marc Spears he didn't receive any offers. And he didn't discredit that statement at all. He provided the timeline of how he ended up having to call GS to ask for an offer.

DeMarcus Cousins agrees to join Golden State Warriors on 1-year, $5.3 million deal

Edit: Also, if that was the case why did he wait til after New Orleans signed Randle to sign with GS. He wanted to stay in NO. All reports were that he loved it there. Was having his best season and is really close with Davis. If they didn't want him then why assume everybody else did.

If by first round, you mean top 6, then yes. Woj is good, but he now works for ESPN, and they showed the draft. The info was coming in.

I am not sure what the issue is anyway. Woj's own ESPN article sites Mark Spears as saying Cousins didn't have offers. He continues, the "market dried up" for any long term deals.

Gotcha I thought that that info had come out after the GS deal

The whole point about the Stockton/Malone thing was that is widely regarded as the best team Jordan played in a finals their three best players were mid 30s at the time. The warriors have 4 stars in the prime of their careers. (Now 5) That was the whole basis of the argument. It had nothing to do with Jordan or LeBron themselves as players just who they played against.

You are taking Demarcus word as gospel when he’s changed his story three deprecate times. No one knows exactly what was offered or not but it’s sketchy he’s changed his story multiple tiles and if you really believe that he had only one offer that was worse than Mario hezognias and Aaron baynes contract then so be it.

The facts get blurry in this forum.

You told me I should believe Woj. I provided articles and videos of Woj saying that Boogie's options were limited and why they were limited. I don't know why it is so hard for you to believe. Do you want a statement from every GM in the league before you will believe the most logical explanation? I guess instead of believing all the evidence I should just believe yer feelings that he turned down a bunch of max offers since you aren't gonna provide evidence.

I've been a member of VN for about 8 years. One thing I've never done to-date is start a thread. I'm thinking of making my first thread on Jordan Huff...to be honest, I'm even thinking of starting multiple threads on Jordan Huff that have different themes. You know, like what is Jordan's favorite basketball player, his favorite beer, where he likes to eat BBQ, what movies does he prefer, etc.

What's everyone think??
