Yep.
Not forced to rush back from an injury, win a ring, potentially shed the cancerous teammate stigma, prove hes healthy, and get paid even more next summer. (Watch him go to LA)
Yea but this is a drastic difference. When iggy signed with the warriors he had near max offers but he at least got like 12mil i think with a few years. Cousins signed a worse deal than Mario Hezonja with the Knicks ( 1year 6.5 mil).
This may be the biggest bargain of all time.
Was Iggy coming off a catastrophic injury that big men rarely recover from and would miss >50% of his contract even in a best case scenario?
Drastically different set of circumstances.
That even furthers the point that he shouldve taken the bigger longer deals on the table. Not a one year prove it deal making 5mil lol
The lakers basically had like 50+ mil available before renouncing Randle. They have plenty of money for another max player. They couldve got George and LeBron through FA.
You arent understanding
Its the right move. I know you dont like it because it hurts LeBron but its the correct move if he believes in his own recovery.
Like I said earlier, hes betting on himself.
What offers did he turn down?

Impending free-agent center DeMarcus Cousins is reportedly "very likely" to re-sign with the New Orleans Pelicans five months after he suffered a torn Achilles.
On Friday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on SportsCenter that Cousins "was on his way to a five-year, full-max contract, having the best season of his career, before the injury." Woj said the four-time All-Star is expected to remain with the Pelicans on a two-year deal.
They were offering him 2+1(player option) at 20 mil a year.
I said the pelicans were the only team who could offer him a lot but he obviously didn't want to stay. The Lakers couldn't offer that much. And didn't seem to want to since they didn't even try. Did anyone else offer? Maybe he likes no cal.
