TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

Being that the 4th of July is just around the corner, I've been trying to get into the patriotic mood.

So, I'm listening to the 1812 Overture. Those damn Russians have corrupted me so much I'm listening to Russian patriotic music. Who else was badass enough to think to use cannons in their music?

Tchaikovsky: "We will bring the world to their knees through music!"

Assistant: "How will we do that?"

Tchaikovsky: "Load the cannons..."

This is a global investigation people.

Special counsel Robert Mueller's team is interested in a British businessman and his pro-Brexit associates' contacts with Russian diplomats and Trump campaign operatives, The Washington Post reported, citing two people who were asked by Mueller about one of those associates.

That associate, Nigel Farage, was the leader of the UK Independence Party, or UKIP, and was one of the most prominent figures in the Brexit debate. The two people told the Post that Mueller's investigators have asked them about Farage's relationship to Trump associates during interviews as part of the ongoing probe into Russian meddling during the 2016 presidential election.

Mueller interested in Brexit boosters' ties to Trump and Russia: Report

You mean Mueller is now tying Brexit to Russian meddling, and he's expanding "the Trump Investigation" ... again? When do you suppose he's going to claim Putin's recent reelection was due to Russian meddling and add that in, too?

Shhhh, Mueller's spies might hear that the Russians have been manipulating your mind with Russian music, that you've been radicalized, and you now dream of using cannon.

Russia would love for us to do this.

What is in it for us?

The Pentagon is analyzing the cost and impact of a large-scale withdrawal or transfer of American troops stationed in Germany, amid growing tensions between President Donald Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, according to people familiar with the work.

The effort follows Trump’s expression of interest in removing the troops, made during a meeting earlier this year with White House and military aides, U.S. officials said. Trump was said to have been taken aback by the size of the U.S. presence, which includes about 35,000 active-duty troops, and complained that other countries were not contributing fairly to joint security or paying enough to NATO.

It's his attempt to destroy Merkel for embarrassing him in front of the G-7. Vindictiveness is a symptom of NPD.

So now the rhetoric is that Trump wants to ‘destroy’ Merkel? And this allegedly is all on the basis of her embarrassing him in front of the G-7...sounds like another left wing media outlet narrative.

I know you haven't got your talking points yet because this is actual news. The only question is what do we gain from doing such a thing? This would only further weaken us as a world power. We are no where near the power player we were 4 years ago.

Other than some sanctions--which took major arm twisting--nearly everything he's done in Europe has had the effect of helping Russia. Don't know it's intentional, but it certainly makes you go hmmmm.

Russia has over taken the US as the “power player” in the Middle East thanks to Obama. He withdrew troops and has overworked our military.

Thanks OZero.

So you are saying that if we remove troops from Germany it will somehow resolve Obama not wanting to go to war with a Russian backed Syria because he was working our overworked troops. What are you complainging about? Are you saying he should have been working our overworked troops harder?

Invading Syria Vs. removing Troops from an Ally. Nope they don't campare.
