Sorry, but based on WHAT?? C'mon, Kiffin had his own daddy as DC. Butch had nearly an entire staff of guys he had been with for a long time. Pruitt meanwhile just assembled a staff of some guys he coached with a BIT (Friend? Sherrer?) and guys he barely knows (Fair, Helton, etc). Sorry, but unless you have some inside track, I will just chalk this up to more blind optimism. And how this guy is any better than Rock is beyond me. He will just have more time lapsed since Sherzer ****face and "player led workouts" ruined S&C.

I am pretty sure that Pruitt either coached with or has known all of his coaches on staff other than David Johnson.

Helton- was at UAB from 2007-2012 under Neil Callaway
Pruitt was at Hoover and Alabama; Callaway
was a former player under the Bear
Friend- college roommate of Pruitt; coached with Helton
at UAB; coached with Pruitt at UGA
Kevin Sherrer- team mate with Pruitt at Bama; coached
with Pruitt at Bama
Tracy Rocker- coached with Pruitt at UGA
Chris Rumph- coached with Pruitt at Bama (presumably
with probably another coach on this list)
Charles Kelly- coached with Pruitt at FSU
Terry Fair- while Pruitt hasn't directly coached with him,
Friend coached with him at CSU

This is all documented in articles online. To suggest that this is a staff that was just a patchwork of coaches is kind of strange. Pruitt trusts all of these guys because he knows them. I do not think it is too crazy to say that this staff probably has the best chemistry that we have had in a while. The departures of Bajakian and Jancek to lesser roles kind of tells you where that staff was. The Kiffin staff had alot of Kiffin flavor, but I still think you can logically debate that this staff is tighter.

6 or 7. ✏️️

I think 7 is just a tad optimistic. I was thinking 4 but with all the good news I’m closer to 5 or 6 now. And it’s nothing against Pruitt or his staff or the players, I just think the transition will not be seamless.

I mean, UGA in Kirby’s first year was in better shape than we are and needed to hold on by the skin of their teeth against Nicholls State. The jump, if it happens, is likelier in 2019 IMO.

Maybe all-around performance, but not in a straight line. I’d rather have a ZL1, but that supercharger scream in the Hellcat is legendary.

Nope. They never run what they should in a straight line. 700hp is more like 550-600. You know I’m a drag racer. For what they’re SUPPOSED to be.... not impressive.

Blind optimism from fans is the worst.....

I'm a bit surprised on Mathien being cut loose. He did my ACL recon and that knee is stronger some 20 years later than the one that's never had anything wrong.

15-0. C'mon, you know you want to believe, you just can't yet. It's not close enough to the season. lol.

I agree. I think we have a few on here who are thinking this will be a seamless transition for the coaching staff. First time head coach, and first time coordinators on both sides who are implementing new systems. There will be growing pains. 6, possibly 7 wins this season, land a top ten class, and 2019 should be strong IMO.

Agreed. Anything over 6 wins will be over achieving.

6 wins should be minimum imo

Minimum! Missouri, Kentucky at home and Vandy = 6 must wins. Those teams suck. Mizzou lost Heupel and added Dooley. Their defense is still trash. That’s a win. Then win 1 USCjr or Florida. Preferably SCjr, due to recent recruiting battles. 7 wins. That’s what I want.

You can throw WV in there too. 7 is very plausible.

We'd be underdogs against Missouri if we played today. They'll probably be decent. I think we'll have a better shot at beating Florida than South Carolina.

Probably camping around there, and decided to go in for an explore. They had no gear at all. Flash flood drive the water levels up trapping them inside

This is an insane story. I mean the thought of being trapped in a cave that you expected to be in is one thing.. but being trapped and unprepared is terrifying.
