Not sure there's a disconnect but what many hv to realize is you hv guys who want to win a NC so camping at FSU and tOSU is more intriguing. Who besides Bama is putting out players like tOSU? Also guys don't want to get their bodies over worked when they hv school workouts, training, and need rest for what they consider major national events like The Open and Rivals 3 Stripe Challenge.

Easy Conley. They don't like hearing that Urb puts guys in the NFL at an almost Bama level rate. Urban sucks around here and he's overrated.

Actually. Everyone knows he’s a good coach and their program is ahead of ours by a bit right now. I just think they enjoy trolling you. And watch you slobber all over him like a UF coed intern.

They might be doing a little slobbering too if he was the head coach at Tennessee. A lot of times folks don't like what they ain't got.

True.

But there comes a point where it doesn't matter because he isn't and never will be.

He's still a POS. And fits in the rare group of just fine without him for me.

I wouldn’t be slobbering . “ Urb” as you call him bailed on a program after his boy graduated knowing the jig was up with some of his recruits . It would have been one thing to say hey I did it now moving on to something different like broadcasting but he had ummmm “ heart problems “ I believe ,then recruited to OSU while still in the booth . He a little sleezy regardless of coaching abilities . Just my opinion but he’s one step under kiffin and one above that washed up coach O at LSU . Only my opinion though so you know what that’s worth . 😉

I’ve never been in a position quite like that, but I’ve had some close family members have to go through arduous, debilitating injuries/surgeries who chose to forego the opioid meds. I’ve got crazy respect for the people who can tough it out. I’d like to think I could do the same, but you’re never sure until you’re in that position.

I have zero interest in trying.
Had several injuries over the years and was prescribed Hydrocodone. No negative impact whatsoever.
Once my current chronic condition began, it was the first prescribed. Sometimes I need them for 4 to 6 weeks. The pain subsides and I won't touch them again for 6 months or more.

Hope liver damage isn't in my future because I will have to rely on them sporadically for the rest of my life.
But I receive no "high" from them, no form of withdraw once the pain subsides and have no moral objection to not hurting.
I'll just be glad when the next "epidemic" becomes the new government and media rage.
Now that we've been through the marijuana epidemic.
The cocaine epidemic
The crack epidemic
The crystal meth epidemic
The Ecstasy epidemic
And now the pain pill epidemic
Maybe, just maybe, they'll figure out the only epidemic there is is a drug addict epidemic. And the rest of us can go back to getting pain pills when we're in pain and buy our cough syrup off the shelf instead of convincing a clerk that we're not a hardened criminal.

Had he stayed at Florida he would have gotten things right again. Last season was in 2010, would have likely won the east at least 4 or 5 times since then if he was still there. Would likely be 12-1 against Tennessee as well, maybe even 13-0. Yikes. I have no doubt he's a snake in the grass, that still doesn't change the fact that he's one of the greatest college football coaches of all time.

My wife is having a hip replacement on July 9th. We were hoping to delay it until the fall but her pain has been debilitating. She's on meloxican and a muscle relaxer. She's not into opioid pain meds. Oddly, her pain got worse after a cortisone injection meant to buy her some time. Just wondering if you could offer any suggestions that might help her get to July 9th with a little less pain.

Sorry, Just saw this. About to board a plane, but will check again after flight.

When did she have the injection? Was the injection guided? If so, ultrasound or x-ray? Need to know which steroid was used (don’t let them say cortisone cause it wasn’t) ie: betamethasone/Celestone, triamcinolone/Kenalog, Depo-Medrol, Dexamethasone, etc.

My email is jkay@arlingtonortho.com if you would rather talk through email. It comes to my phone...
Include your #and I can call you if that is easier too...

There may be several other options...

Some surgeons don’t want steroid injections in a joint for 3 months prior to surgery so need to find out her surgeon’s opinion on that too.

I'm right there with you.

By the way my condition is so bad, I could easily get whatever I need, but I don't because I hate the humiliation...which reeeaaallly makes me resent the rest of the idiot world that buys that garbage.. especially nights like last night and today when I'm hurting so bad it is making me nauseous.

Has she ever tried Celebrex/celecoxib? I used that after shoulder surgery and didn’t use anything else. Took one hydrocodone and was so stoned that I couldn’t sit up...

Severe acute pain dose is 600mg per day for 3 days then decrease to 400mg for a couple days then down to 200mg daily.

Man, don't ever suffer because of idiots. Drug addicts or hollier-than-thou aazzhats. Just because someone else can't take them without becoming an addict or doesn't need them because they don't live with that kind of pain every damn day, is no reason for you to suffer through life.
If they don't like it, they can refuse.
They can also mind their own business and stop trying to make decisions for others.

Sorry for what you are going through.

I appreciate it. I understand and empathize with anybody that goes through this. Then you have docs like the guy posting here...I know what helps and what is a waste of time, or the side effects like gastric problems are so bad I'd rather just suffer.

My Dr. has never been an issue, believes that you should have "quality of life, not just survive".
But I asked to try the Meloxicam to see if I could avoid long term issues.

He told me to take half unless the pain was intense, then take a whole.
My first bout came about 3 weeks later, was eating them like pez lol.
I went back and told him and he said "no help at all?"
My response: at least the tendinitis in my elbow eased.
"Well then it wasn't a total waste" haha.

I had a couple of really good doctors in Florida that were of the same mindset. There are none like that anywhere near me now that I have found. Meloxicab is a waste of my time.

I am just reaaly tired of the hoops and the attitudes, I hope the CBD oil I'm about to try helps. I'm going to pick some up this weekend.

Lol. They did say cortisone so I have no idea. He has the 3 month rule and her surgery is a little beyond 3 months. I think she had the injection April 6. They did an X ray and then we had the discussion to determine best course of action. After discussing waiting until the end of the summer the Doc suggested maybe a "cortisone" injection might get her some relief and bridge her till late summer early fall. The doc came in numbed up a spot and gave her an injection. After about 24 hours she thought it was slightly better. After 2-3 days it started to get considerably worse. She's now had to get a cane to assist in walking.

I thought about an inversion table. Doc said it couldn't hurt.
