I had a guy tell me that the other day and I laughed. He asked me what my definition of a dad bod was. I defined it as an out of shape middle ager with a hefty beer gut and no muscle. He told me my definition was wrong. He described the dad bod as one that used to be in good shape, still has muscle, but some meat too. He said the ladies like it. I told him he was full of crap. That night I asked my wife and she described a dad bod the same as he did and said girls find it extremely sexy. So you're on the right track buddy. :hi:

Hahahaha. I mean I still play soccer about once a week and golf as much as possible. Lot's of 12 ounce curls. I'm not in terrible shape. Definitely got the beer gut in full effect to let the ladies know I'm a fun lovin guy. :eek:lol:

Don't expect me to ever embrace, adopt or commit to a workout system with the name "Insanity Max" in it.

It simply ain't gonna happen.

It is rough. First time I did it I was dry heaving on my porch in 20 degree weather thinking I was going to die. Shaun T can get you shredded that's for sure. T-25 is a great program too, 25 minutes. Follow the meal plan and the weight just melts off.

When I was doing T-25 a buddy of mine was doing a 5K so I told him I'd do it with him. I had never run more than a mile at a time and decided to do it. I ran 9:15 mile average for the 5k and was blown away at the conditioning I had at the time.

Me and a couple buddies are going to Asheville next weekend. What’s the best breweries and best bar for the nighttime?

I had a horrible case of mono in college. Dropped 30 lbs in 6 weeks. Gained it all back after 2 months of pizza and miller lite. Lol

Breweries:

The entire South Slope area of downtown is solid for visitors and includes:
-Burial
-Green Man
-Wicked Weed
-Catawba
-Funkatorium(Wicked Weed's Sour Brewery)

Outside of downtown I personally like the Wedge in the River Arts District. There are several solid breweries outside of downtown that can be worth the drive or uber.

What type of bar do you like? If you like craft cocktails check out Sovereign Remedies downtown.

Also, check out Hole Donuts while in town for a donut and a good cup of Joe on Saturday morning.

moderation in all things.

I call Bullsh!t on that. Everything in large bites! Moderation is for monks.

Y'all should just follow Uncle Danl's Bacon and Beer Diet and all will be well. First thing you eat each morning is bacon and the last thing you drink at night is a beer* ( a real beer, not that Coors/Bud/Miller crap!). You can eat and drink anything you like in between. I've followed this diet for over 40 years. I'm 6'3" and 190 pounds and have been forever.

You're welcome!

* You can substitute a large glass of a good Old Vines Zinfandel 4 nights a week for variety.

funkatorium is the BOMB if you enjoy sours

I used to run hills all the time. Quickest way to get fast. Good stuff.

Man, I've been doing this to great success, but I think I pushed it a little too hard, too fast and gave myself plantar fasciitis. Bums me out, cause you can get in really good cardio in 10 minutes instead of the 30 or so it takes to get a decent jog in.

Switching gears - have you guys been to Buxton Hall BBQ in Asheville? They won a James's Beard award for their whole hog barbecue, it's phenomenal.

Another great spot in the South Slope area. Elliott Moss used to do pop up restaurants around town before opening Buxton and he does it right.

He also makes a a Chik Fil A type fried Chicken Sandwich with pimento cheese that will knock your socks off. It's always hard for me to make the choice between the Chicken and BBQ.
