The biggest thing about Keto is SALT. You have to add Salt to avoid the Keto Flu. Specifically pink salt.

I had the Keto flu for three weeks and I wasn’t getting enough salt. I add the pink salt (Himalayan) and it cured me.

That's a problem. I hate salt. I don't put it on anything. If I can taste it on something I don't eat it. Again, I'm weird. haha

Dang I’m one of the lucky ones. I’m 6’3 185 and have eaten what I want when I want how I want and usually sleep 7-9 hours a night. My metabolism is through the roof so I guess I’m really screwed when it slows down.

Sounds like my wife. She eats whatever she wants, sleeps great, and stays the same size year round. Some of you are just lucky.

What does the salt do that prevents keto flu?

most meals on keto lacks electrolytes, If you start adding a salt and potassium and magnesium to your foods and take in enough of all 3 you generally will not get the keto flu. Thats where most people go wrong on the keto diet. once you cut out process food you start to loose probably 75 % of your daily intake of sodium. Thats what gives you the keto flu. Start supplementing more sodium back to your foods and drinks and you will feel much better.

SIAP but Mark Nagi's book "Decade of Dysfunction" just dropped. The book is appropriately named because it is about the last decade of Tennessee football which has been dysfunctional at best. I will give it a read and let you guys know what I think.

Beach body is fantastic! For about $38 or so every 3 months, you can stream all of those workouts. They have a huge range to select from. I love the Shaun T workouts. He will kick your tail. Love Insanity Max 30 series. I’m currently doing Shaun Week this week. It’s really good too.

I've done T-25 and some of insanity but 80 day obsession is actually pretty rough as well. My wife and I do the workout together. The meal plan helped me the most I eat 6 full meals a day and am still losing weight. We start the last phase of it Monday.

I lose well on keto, but can't maintain it without losing my mind. My compromise is keto for 23 hours a day, and one meal of less than 100 grams of carbs for dinner. I test keytones before dinner, and as long as I am tracing I'm solid. Dial it back to 50 grams and I lose decently well. There is also some science proving benefits to moderate carbs at dinner.

I combine that with lots of stairs, 80 flights (about 1500 steps) 5 days a week. Not exactly lifting, not exactly cardio, but definitely elements of both. Calves and quads are quite lumpy and resting pulse is high 50s. Not bad for a 54 year old.

Since I'm usually reading VN while I'm working the stairs, I put in an automated counter and lap time display at the top of the steps. Co-workers concerned with my motivation put up the picture of F. Lee Ermey...ironically on the day he died.

Great job!! Isn’t 80 day obsession 60 minute workouts?

How do you test ketones?

It’s so nice to take charge of your health.

I mean, it’s all about making the right choices.

I’m just so glad I found a lifestyle that’s right for me.
