As I've said before, Trump didn't follow in his predecessors steps and tried something new.

You think this summit would have happened under Hillary? Real question there.

I don't disagree. But we don't know for sure what motivated this for them.

Certainly could be Trump's heavy handed rhetoric.

Could be that the North Koreans think they can work him because he is so unsophisticated.

Could be timing and NK wanting to modernize.

Could be some combination of all of that. No way to know.

Lol ABC reminded us that Kim poisoned his half brother, as if they were kind of hoping for a repeat performance.

And also that this was a huge victory for Kim. I was hoping to see a head explode but no dice.

Laying the ground work for giving Trump no credit if he succeeds here? Shocking.

Could be that Trump is seen as a strong leader and someone who actually has the balls to follow through.

It could be that Trump is good at negotiating.

It could be that LG is a vindictive obsessed teenage girl who will screech no matter what?

Try cheering for America rather than your political party for once.

Maybe something good can come of this. I have my doubts. The DPRK aren't exactly known for trustworthiness. And Trump is Trump. This is likely a stunt just to show how bigly awesome the Red Emperor is without actually having anything substantial occur aside from a photo op.

Could it be Trump had the back bone to call NK's bluff by sending B1's to Guam and deploying the first operational F35's to Marine units in SK and Marine amphibious ships off the coast and how about sending (2) Carrier Strike Groups to the Sea of Japan.

Pretty good motivation if he has any sense of self preservation!

LOL

Do you remember when Obama was awarded The Nobel peace prize? Preemptively for what he might do?

I am convinced all he cares about it self preservation. The pullout happened after Bolton tried to screw it up. Guarantee him no regime change as long as they behave and move on.

This is the seat at the big boy table that the country has sought for generations. They got that seat by having nukes. They will not give up that seat but there is hope that something positive can come of this and future meetings.
