He said "I've been preparing my whole life. You just don't prepare the week before, that doesn't work, just ask Hillary because you saw how she did in the debates. And if you would have listened to my entire quote from yesterday you would know that I said I've been preparing my whole life but of course you don't report that because you're fake news."

I think lying is a stretch, but I do think he says things that he knows will make the media and the DNC look like the possessed girl in the Exorcist and sits back and chuckles.

I think some of his lying is for that effect. I think more of his lying is for gaslighting his base. There are plenty of lies to go around. What is he up to? 6.7 per day?

I'll go with 4 per day for gaslighting his supporters.
2.7 per day to enrage his distractors.
