Kiffin had the football sense to be good but, he was like a kids coach and that made him a risk. Dooley and Butch were second level/tier coaches. Pruitt has the football sense, the Div I big boys experience, and an NCAA championship ring as a well respected defensive coordinator. I’m pumped to see where he can take us.

If we can build marginal improvement thru the season, and coaching prowess is noticeable on the field, watch out for recruits starting to pile up for the Vols!

You guys seem to think I'm somehow declaring myself godlike. Quite the opposite; I'm probably the most thoroughly terrestrial guy around. Having had my beloved Vols stripped bare and left for parts has made me bitter though.

I don't think they get your username.

Coach Fitz really gets you pumped.

He seems a little manic.
Maybe too much sugar, caffeine, antler spray?
But, at least, he seems to give a ****e about his job.
Whether it’s fake contrived enthusiasm or the real thing, I’m glad to see someone working with our players with some energy. :good!:

I think he’s like that at a convenience store...stocking up on SmartWater. :scare:

The young bucks are on the hill.

The coaches are ready to teach and push them.

Fitz is ready to introduce them to a new reality.

Things are on the rise for our beloved Vols.

VFL...GBO!!!

Thought the same thing when I saw him in the video. Don’t know how much he weighs, but I immediately thought he definitely needs a redshirt and a lot of time in the weight room.

Based off what he told VQ he's been working out and has gained 20 lbs since signing day. He was 190+ then. So that puts him in the 205-210 range. But JG looks like he's 190 max and he's in the 205+ range. They both have that skinny frame, unlike Keller. He's a thick QB. Jalen Hurts is 215-220 and he looks nowhere near that. He definitely needs a RS year though.

What about some of the big guys, like Gooden and Jahmir Johnson ... do they look like they could be in fair shape or don't look like they are in shape?

Any insiders care to comment?

Anybody know what the summer practice schedule is? Are there any practices that are open to the public? Any plan for "off-sites" like previous coaching staffs held? Sure would like to put the day to day schedule and activities on my calendar for the next...83 or so...days. I hope and pray we get from here to 1 September without any serious injuries.

Edit: might make for a good sticky or seperate thread to include daily practice reports and film.
