Well...guys and gals...found out Monday that my wife is pregnant with our 3rd child. Will be due in January/February of next year. This is gonna be our last one....gonna get snipped here soon.

Congrats man. We have number 5 on the way. Hearing the heartbeat for the first time still gets me. This will be our last one too.

That 5 - 11 was after they announced they were moving and the whole city was pissed at them. Pretty extenuating circumstances.

They were 4-5 with big wins over the Bucs, Bengals, and Houston Oilers.

Only Browns fans thought they were going to get to the Super Bowl.

Y’all are playing to the result of his career. Say he was laying the foundation or whatever that’s fine.

But don’t tell me a guy with 4 losing seasons out of 5 that was fired was “building a dynasty”. Bellicheck was on the hot seat after his first year in New England. Then Tom Brady gets a chance and the rest is history.

They’re the primary ones. Will you concede they have more impact than the WR coaches in that aspect? And on GAME DAY? Who’s the guy? Running back coach ever veto a call?

In some cases the head coach is the one installing most of the game plan on a particular side of the ball. I can guarantee you harbaugh, Meyer, cutcliffe, etc are installing most of their offense rather they are calling plays or not. Same goes for saban, mushchamp etc on defense.

I’m just telling you I’ve been around a lot of coaches and I’ve never heard of a head coach having no input at all on any side of the ball.

Whoever is calling plays isn’t always the most important person in terms of developing a scheme/gameplan.

I can tell you for a 100% fact that butch vetoed A LOT of Larry Scott play calls.

I’m starting to wonder just what position within the AD that Hank is even remotely qualified for...

Dooley is a better football coach than Jones. Not saying much for Dooley, but on the field, I'd say he's a good bit better.

Umm, has everyone forgotten that we stopped putting a punt returner back when Dooley was the HC, because we couldn’t field the punt cleanly? That some of the lousiest coaching I’ve ever seen. How about the punt return for a touchdown by Arkansas, in which we missed about 20 tackles? In my opinion, as terrible as Butch was, Dooley was worse.

Where did you read “no input”? But you got every non playcalling HC being Sean Payton. As in this whole thread I dispute your “guarantee” on the percentage of the offense that the HC “installs” but that still has nothing to do with playcalling. Urban has struggled in years that he’s replaced brilliant OC’s...until he gets a suitable replacement. And THAT is what Dooley will be in charge of and it’s more than fair to doubt his prowess at it. Defensive minded Barry Odom certainly isn’t going to be doing it for him.

I didn’t pull that out of my butt. It isn’t my opinion, it’s the opinion of people who know a lot more about football than you or I know.

That last part doesn’t surprise me at all.

Ugh that punt return was ridiculous. Now I’m in a bad mood.

I’ve found that I like you a lot better when I agree with you 😂
