Anti-Trump Hysteria and Silliness

Per Independent.co.uk: by Clark Mindock

Just after President Donald Trump received an over-sized letter, hand delivered by a top aide of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un at the White House, the commander-in-chief said that the letter was "very nice" - and then admitted that he had not actually read it yet.

"This was a meeting where a letter was given to me by Kim Jong-Un, and that letter was a very nice letter. Oh! would you like to see what was in that letter!" the President tempted.

Having been baited, the reporters Trump were speaking to, gamely asked what was in the letter, while Trump egged them on, saying "How much? How much?" as if to be soliciting bids for his nugget of information.

But, later, President Trump admitted that "I haven't seen it yet."

**************************************

That is classic Trump!

To paraphrase the exchange:

Trump: "Oh my God! You folks won't believe what is in this beautiful letter!"

Reporter: "Wow, can you tell us what it said, Mr. President?"

Trump: "I have no idea."

You guys are too easy 😂

LOL...I believe there will nothing to the collusion charges. Now, as to obstruction of justice, he's being doing that almost the entire time he's been in office. You can't continue to ask the AG to step in and take over Mueller's investigation because, as Trump has been quoted, "you'll be a hero to conservatives".

He should have said "a hero to the dumbos that support us"

He’s the Boss, Sessions recused himself under the wrong statute, it was a counter intelligence operation at the time, Not a criminal investigation therefore he should un recuse himself. You can’t have obstruction when there’s no crime.

As a former high profile member of the Trump campaign from the very beginning, which was a subject of the investigation itself, Jeff Sessions was a potential witness and he had to recuse.

If Trump failed to consider a Sessions' recusal as a possibility (obviously, he didn't ask Sessions what he would do) then that is his own short-sighted fault. Once again, Trump likes to blame others for his problems and his mistakes. If he wanted an Attorney General to run cover for him during the Russian probe, he should have had the common sense to realize that Sessions might see the need to recuse himself from the investigation (as a potential witness) and picked someone else as Attorney General. Of course, none of this is helped by the fact that Sessions was not forthcoming about his own contact with Russian Ambassador Kislyak.

Actually, he's not the boss. Do you understand how the 3 branches of government are structured?

Long-standing protocol dictates that the FBI and Justice Department operate free of political influence or meddling from the White House. Of course you knew that already.

So, it is like the "pirate code".........gotcha......

Long standing law, basically since they were created, had the FBI as part of the DOJ and within the executive branch of the government. Next rationalization?

If by meddling you mean fire Sessions I hope he does too. Since you know Sessions isn’t even involved in the cluster that is called the Mueller investigation.

If he fires Sessions, establishment Republicans will turn on him and it will strengthen the obstruction case against him. When Dems win the House, the case for impeachment is unmistakable. So yeah, make my day.

I hope we do make your day. I could care less if “establishment” Republicans turn on Trump they’re part of the damn problem. We got Ryan gone we’re off to a good start.

Even with that if Robert Mueller doesn’t have any conflicts that would require him to recuse then Jeff Sessions sure as hell doesn’t either!

Go nuts with impeachment IF you win the house. It will die in the Senate if it even clears the house.

Shhhh. Our resident libs believe impeachment is tantamount to removal from office. It’s a spectacle to watch the ignorance flow from these loons.

I for one welcome the forthcoming Pence theocracy.

The TV will turn itself on at 630am, play the national anthem followed by the Lord's Prayer. Then we'll all head to our jobs making pyres to burn the gays and heretics. MAGA!

I guess it’s ok for Obama to meddle, but not Trump?

👍🏻

I think as soon as you say that the news media is the enemy of the people, not only do you forgo any benefit of the doubt, you invite unparalleled scrutiny.

Trumps' incredibly stupid and harmful comments are a two sided coin. On one side, his base eats it up and becomes even more radical, but on the other, everyone else looks at him with increasing distrust.

If the news media was actually unbiased and objective, they wouldn't be labeled as such.

Fox News has always labeled themselves as "Fair and Balanced"... Does anyone actually believe that to be the case? As long as the person (or persons) applying the label has their own agenda (as Trump clearly does), the label itself is nothing more than self-serving.

I think even Fox realizes that their tag line is the most humorous tongue-in-cheek comment in all of TV.

The MSM media are owned by corporations, which serve their own interests, which are not the interests of the nation.

Because Ben Franklin had a printing press that has been romanticized for 200+ years, everyone seems to think that the modern MSM is beyond reproach.

The left throw tantrums about evil corporations... Until those corporations start spinning news for their own benefit.

Then they're some sort of religious icon that you can't besmirch. It's ridiculous.
