'19 TN CB Woodi Washington

No. He's a Courtney Upshaw (Alabama) clone.

Solid college player. Nobody in the NFL.

This guy has minimal NFL potential. He's simply not athletic enough be a star in the NFL.

You gotta stop with the know-it-all crap. I understand you have your opinion, but say it once and let it go. Repeating yourself over and over is really annoying and you’re not gonna change anybody else’s mind.

His JR and SR season, Courtney Upshaw was an edge defender who had 14.5 TFL and 7 sacks, then 18 TFL and 9.5 sacks. Give me a guy who can give us that kind of production any day. NFL potential is a secondary concern.

Edit: was also All-SEC and All American in 2011 and a second round pick. If crouch can give us that type of career, we should be beating down his door.

Naw...

Crouch is a 4.6 guy at 235 lbs
2,000 yard rusher.
His shuttle time is similar to that of a 200 lbs man.

He is not some marginal athlete!

Him and Peterson at LB completely changes the face of our defense.

His arms are long. And he's physical. This dude would the crown jewel of our class if we get him

But have you looked in his eyes?

I’m still dumbfounded by how a comparison to Upshaw is an insult. Not even close to the same player physically or stylistically, but if he matches his production then hooray.

Two years ago I said I didn't want Jacoby Stevens who everyone thought was a 5-star. Now he looks like a total bust at LSU.

Crouch at RB will be a bust. As an OLB, he can maybe be a solid player. I just don't think he's a 5-star player. I would rather have us targeting guys with better athleticism.

Just know that the "bust" title doesn't apply The Ogre Orgeron keeps moving you around from one side of the ball to the other .. or didn't you know that? He is moving back to safety now which most who saw him coming out of HS felt he was best in the defensive backfield. No lacking for size or speed and can track the ball well but route running wasn't his best trait. Ed is hard headed and thought the speed would get him by as a WR.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of season he has this year. If you go to the LSU boards their fans are already basically chalking him up as a bust. I don't know if they are just making assumptions too early in his career or if they are being told the typical code for bust by their mods with the dreaded "he will not be a factor" line...something we've become all too accustomed to with guys like Chris Donald, etc in recent years.

D4H is gonna have a coronary

You're damn right.

I just don't get how this staff can pass on a future NFL shut down corner like Woodi Washington but are chomping at the bits for a marginal NFL backup like Quavaris Crouch?

Pruitt might prove to be a great coach but his player evaluation skills are heavily lacking. He's passing on so many talented players for guys with significantly less talent.
