Saban told us during the Dooley error our program had “been mismanaged for years”. That would include Sir Fulmer’s regime. I don’t think Saban loses a seconds sleep worrying about Tennessee.

I think fear is a strong word, concerned might fit this description. 3rd Saturday of October, provide Pruitt time to get his team playing competitively. Barring any huge injuries, Pruitt played against that offense, do you think he might have a clue as to how Bama likes to attack? and by the way, Pruitt is not an idiot, he gets Saban he knows his tendency is game situations...........I would be concerned, can UT beat them, heck! it could happen if players play and the offense is clicking. The odds are not there, but I've seen stranger things happen. Saban has lost his two most productive DCs, you think the productivity might drop?...........I do, their offense is not the best in the country. Tennessee could surprise everyone, just like the basketball team.

GBO!

Saban has lost his two best DC's in quite some time, yes. But, Saban is a defensive Mastermind, himself! If things get bad, he'll just focus more time on the defensive side of the ball. I'm not sure how much time he consumes on the defensive side of the ball, but I do know it's his baby.

Production drop? Highly, highly doubtful. He loses a good amount of talent to the NFL almost every year. He loses more assistant coaches than just about anyone and very little changes. Its not the assistants, its Saban. As long as he is there, Bama will be dominant.

Under Saban they have nevef had a truly dominant offense. Wanna know why? Because offense sells tickets but defense wins championships. Saban likes to run the football and have a dominant defense. Thats the time tested formula for high level success.

Pruitt is a smart coach. He will take a page out of Lane Kiffins playbook and slow the game down against teams he outmanned by his first year to give the team a fighting chance. Hopefully he just doesn't take the page where he leaves.
