Iran nuclear program. It is a lie

American casualties on Okinawa were about 10,000 but over 100,000 for the Japanese. There is not necessarily a correlation there due to the major air campaigns that we had commenced over Japan before the bomb was dropped. There is no way to know for sure, but Truman's own remarks about Asian people leads me to believe he was gunning for the opportunity, but the casualties, imo, would not have been over 100,000 but he needed justification.

You understand that Okinawa is about 60 miles long and something like 12 miles wide (if you cheat and measure across a point like the Motobu Pensula). If you are anywhere along the spine running down the island, you can see the Pacific to the east and rotate and see the E China Sea to the West. It's tiny compared to Japan.

So, they had to bribe certain western officials to even make this deal........I do whatever it takes to get those names and amounts. I'd go as far as to say we can sit down and talk and negotiate, but, first you must give them all up and it needs to be 100% provable and tangible.

Interesting read, despite being dated and CNN. Lays out the controversy over the deal and Obama's ability to make it without congressional approval. Personally, I find the arguments for overreach more compelling.

Iran deal: A treaty or not? - CNNPolitics

Interesting take on things, and with some Bill Clinton logic - like "define 'treaty'." I guess if it wasn't a real treaty, then it should be considered a short term agreement between the principals involved, Obama's gone, and there should be no disagreement with how Trump wants to run things. If it was a treaty, Obama didn't follow procedure - shocking. To me it's the classic case of you can't have it both ways - it's one thing or the other.

Seems a lot of the Iranians are happy with it and thankful to Trump
