Except that your argument is that he's using it to get Manafort to flip.
You are also ignoring the fact that its Russia/Ukraine money laundering, essentially, which is a huge motivating factor towards collusion.
Its not like they found that Manafort once fabricated a license plate on his car back in 1982 and are using that to get him to flip. He committed bank fraud and engaged in criminal financial activity with the very people that are suspected of having colluded with him (and others) during the campaign to get Trump elected so as to in turn manipulate US policy towards Russia.
You know, at every turn now the Trump support base tries to find (really manufacture) whatever irregularity they think they can, whatever fake outrage they can muster, to derail this.
It isn't going to work. The investigation will be completed and the results will be whatever they are.
He's filed charges against 22 people. Nothing?
Then for 10 months the Dems tried to warn you of the same thing. Some GOPers sided with them and continued to warn you.
I don't blame you guys for trying this hard to find something to pin your hopes to so as to avoid the reality of the situation.
For about 10 months the entire GOP establishment warned you that Trump was a fraud and a con man. Then for 10 months the Dems tried to warn you of the same thing. Some GOPers sided with them and continued to warn you.
But you ignored all those warnings. And now that its turning out that he is exactly what we all told you he really was, maybe even worse, you are ashamed of him and of yourselves for voting for him. I get that you don't want to admit he conned you.
The first step to recovering your own honor and dignity is to admit that Trump has none.
I think Mueller knows he has problems with the Manafort case and in coordination with Rich Rod is taking a different tact.
Way huge difference in investigating A and finding evidence of B and making that part of your investigation. But some of those investigations were preexisting (to my understanding) and were taken over by the SC. To me, that's way outside the authority of the matter. Now, if the scope of the SC was so vague it allowed that to happen, the Rosenstein memos were entirely wrong and it's a witch hunt like we've said all along.
We're talking investigations into matters going back to 2005 here. I'm not certain this is within the scope of the investigation for any reason other than what the judge mentioned, which is to get him to flip on Trump.
