Its not like they found that Manafort once fabricated a license plate on his car back in 1982 and are using that to get him to flip. He committed bank fraud and engaged in criminal financial activity with the very people that are suspected of having colluded with him (and others) during the campaign to get Trump elected so as to in turn manipulate US policy towards Russia.

You know, at every turn now the Trump support base tries to find (really manufacture) whatever irregularity they think they can, whatever fake outrage they can muster, to derail this.

It isn't going to work. The investigation will be completed and the results will be whatever they are.

No, my argument is the scope of the SC went way out of bounds by taking on an unrelated case and using THAT to possibly get Manafort to flip.

Not going to happen, so it's a moot point.

Regardless, the SC wasn't really answering the questions in a forthright manner with the judge. Questions that needed to be asked.

13/15 of them will NEVER see the inside of a courtroom, theater indictments. 1 actually had something to do with the election although it was infinitesimally minor. 2 are for completely unrelated crimes that the DOJ passed on 3 years ago and the rest are for lying.

I guess we have different ideas on what results are.

Is that why the Hillary campaign actively hoped he would win the Primary?

Furthermore, how many in the GOP sided with them except for the poor losers that couldn't stand to see "their guy" not winning it? They hated Cruz, they hated Trump, they hated Rubio, they hated everyone except for the selected few and none of which were capable of winning that election.

One is sensational and can be tried in the court of public opinion, after all Dims have that Hollywood fascination. The other is more boring - better left to the courts because it's too deep for Hollywood groupies to absorb - no good pictures of under thinking but overly endowed women (we have to assume).

Yeah, doesn't seem like Trump was running for president in 2005, so that would appear to predate Russian collusion and his campaign. Maybe Mueller believes that in 2005 Manafort and the Russians (OK it was the Ukranians but that's close enough) were working on taking over the US and they needed a stooge to run for president. If so, that backfired - Trump isn't working for anybody but Trump.
