No one can stand working with Mullen. They could hide that is Starkvegas. Can't do it in Gainesville. Too many papers cover the gators

Jimbo Fisher should do well at A&M, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was just an annual 10-2 guy. That record would be considered a bust, as he was hired to win championships.

No Pressure--win in the hardest division in college football!

If Pruitt can win two or three SEC games I'd call that a major improvement over last year and a success. Four would be a huge success. Grading on a curve...

Mullen has had his WR coach (Gonzales) and OL coach (Hevesy) for years. Without looking it up, I can think at least 4 other coaches that followed him from Miss State to Florida, and I’m likely forgetting a few that followed him. They all speak glowingly of Mullen.

Based on our current recruiting situation, we're losing ground. Three years from now most of y'all will be pining for the glory years of back to back 9 win seasons. If averages hold, I expect to live about 30 more years and I strongly doubt I will see the Vols win an SEC football championship during that time. Poor decisions that de-emphasized the program's importance were made at inopportune times and now we're stuck in a vicious cycle of trying to catch up with programs that are not only exponentially better than ours but are also investing more than us to try and get even better. Maybe someday the law of diminishing returns will catch up to them but it's gonna be a long long time from now.

Can you please elaborate what these other programs are investing more than us at? UT has the facilities. Just updated the weight room...again. Pruitt bringing in a top notch coaching staff and has hired 6 support staffers compared to one under Butch. And Fulmer giving Pruitt everything he needs to be successful. Lastly, more renovations to Neyland Stadium. Tennessee is investing. So what is it that UT isn't investing in that others are?

Jimbo. Sumlin left decent talent, but didn’t develop his players and didn’t pay attention to detail.

The difference so far in A&M practices has been the attention to detail, harder workouts, and a more business-like approach, instead of rap music all the the time and no accountability.

Jimbo runs a tight ship, and is a no-nonsense type coach, similar to Pruitt, by with more experience.

Prior will be fine, he just needs some HC experience. He has less talent than when Smart went to UGA, but his no-nonsense approach and coaching pedigree will begin to shoe before long.

How many different D coordinators did Mullen have in the last 4-5 years at Mississippi State. Iirc, he’s had 3 DCs the last 4 seasons, and 6 D Coordinators in 8 years. That’s what the guy was talking about.

I'm honored.

Mullen huh? I have no hate for him at all, you think he's that good, or is it a lot due to him being at Florida?

He lacks dynamic energy. Great at coaching and teaching...meh on recruiting. Need that alpha male recruiting dynamic at the HC position to be first tier in the SEC. He’ll win...like that guy at Duke. :shades:

Corn chips.
