Anti-Trump Hysteria and Silliness

Your position is extremely untenable when your allies are folks like this:

No one attacked her appearance?

So we now hold comedians to a higher standard than we hold our own president? That makes a lot of sense

The biggest reason the left should be unhappy about this controversy over SHS getting sympathy for her appearance being made fun of is that it distracts from rightfully making fun of what she says.

You are (again) trying to justify what happened. You want the two wrongs to make a right.

Say the words "the routine went way over the line and was extremely distasteful."

When Chris Cillizza disagrees with the content, you know there's a problem.

I'm in NO WAY trying to justify the routine. I just want consistency from the people who were offended.

Sorry, VN wasn't around in 1996 to make such an argument. However, you ARE trying to justify the routine by bringing up something Imus did 20 years ago and trying to imply "two wrongs now make a right."

Now say the words "the routine went way over the line and was extremely distasteful."

How about these words: "her comedy routine was over the line and distasteful, almost to the degree of Trump's multiple insults concerning the way a woman looks. Granted you would expect more distasteful comments from a comedian than you would the President of the United States."

GV this isn’t about 2 wrongs making a right, it’s about how one side supports a President who does this on the regular but now is all butt hurt over “words”. She never bashed Sarah sanders for her looks only this fact that she reaffirms half truths and lies on a daily basis.

Where’s your outrage on here when people make fun of Hillary or Michelle Obama’ for their looks? It’s just hypocrisy at its finest from a base who’s gotten their rocks off when the president has said worse about many more people.

The real snowflakes are showing now. She’s a comedian, get over it

Then attack Trump. I haven’t seen anybody in the left media defend Trump. SHS did nothing to deserve this. She’s just doing her job and Wolf shredded her mercilessly for no good reason.

And to her credit she maintained her poise and took it.

Seriously stop whining. What is it the right wing media said “it’s just words”. I agree she went to far but my god, this is pathetic coming from a base who loves Trump because he speaks his mind and isn’t politically correct. Kelly Ann and Sarah have defended every word and action from the Tangerine Toddler...they’re fair game jut like Hillary, Bill, Pocahontas, Chuck etc. maybe this was just “locker room talk”

Oh knock off the screech/whining narrative. You’ve over used it by now. Conway is definitely an easier target but SHS was just doing her job. WTF do you expect her to come out and say. “You’ll never believe the **** I was given to come out and say this time! Here listen to this!”

Attack Trump. Hell even go after Conway. BOTH of those would gladly fire back. SHS would not. Wolf knew it. She’s chicken **** for using SHS as a target.

Is it winter or did everyone turn into snowflakes? Our president started this and it’s so painfully obvious. Don’t work for someone if you can’t handle the repercussions of his rhetoric.

I own zero political t-shirts but I wouldn't mind one of those.

Yes, and no.

She should not be attacked for her appearance at an event like this. I'm really not seeing anyone defend that and in fact it seems to be the main source of criticism of Wolf from all corners.

I do not agree with the "She's just doing her job" comment. While I get that her job is to go out there and put the administraton's spin on things, I think that her professional responsibility is also not to lie to the press. She does so frequently.

The fact that Trump is constantly getting hammered by the press for his ridiculous lying about everything, and his antics which bring embarrassment and shame to the office, is no reason for her to dig her heels in further and insist on defending the indefensible.

When she finds herself in a position where she can either tow the company line and lie, or simply not comment, she should choose the latter. Her "job" does not excuse her then being complicit in Trump's incessant dishonesty. She deserves every bit of mocking she gets for that.

Oh you mean the screeching/whining that the right throws out on daily basis??? Jesus you guys can dish it out but I’ll be damned if you can take it. Snot bubblers

Why so bitter? Did your parents refuse to buy you a puppy as a kid? I trust this doesn't extend to your own family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

I pretty much don't care about other people's feelings, I try to not hurt anyone's feeling if I do it's unintentional and I look at it as their fault for being so sensitive. I also don't want to hear about others feelings either, IDGAF if your sad.

Family, I listen but most of the time don't care since they're usually over reacting, the others you mention hell no.

Edit: it's not bitterness, I just don't care about your feelings.

Then we disagree. She is just doing her job. And I think she’s better at it than Spicer was. She is an upgrade.

If saying she burns facts and uses the ashes to make a perfect smoky eye was the only "attack on her appearance," calling that an "attack" is legit insane.

If your next door neighbor of 20 years finds out he has cancer, are you sad for him? Would your family take them a meal? If your co-worker's child is killed in an auto accident, are you sad and maybe even compassionate?

You may suffer from alexithymia.

Knowingly and willfully lying for Trump because it is your job makes you fair game for scorn and ridicule. SHS was fully aware that was part of the price when selling (leasing) her soul.
