No question.

Some decent individual performances, but disheartening overall.

Part of the reason why I think this team will go 6-6 next year. We have some good pieces on this team, but I think we have a lot of pansies. It's going to take more than a few months to change the losing culture this group has.

You got the espn app? You can stream it there on demand.

No I actually don't. Thanks though. I have it on DVR but I just wanted to record it again so I could actually see the first part of the game. Just kind of annoying how they choose to rerun the Bama, Georgia, South Carolina, and LSU games multiple times over the next few days and not show the Tennessee game one time.

That team today would struggle to go 6-6. Thankfully, we still have until fall, and we will get some more recruits in by then.

Use to listen to Hyams every Monday and Friday on 1045 in Nashville. Got to where I really dislike listening to his takes. It's almost like he rolls his eyes at everything Tennessee and turns his nose up at the fans. He can bite my rear end.

Hey, we finally agree on something. I am proud of us. Seriously, he's a joke. He has his little cult of followers on 990 who thinks his word is gospel, and he used to be pretty professional, but he is way less important than he thinks he is; and, announcing Brohm as our next coach was a catastrophic failure. The OP is right. He should be getting much more grief than he has about that.

It's a terrible app for live streams, but works well for replays.

Defense was definitely flat but they did nothing schematically.

I’m more worried about our QBs missing throws, being late delivering it when they are facing no real danger and vanilla defense. JG had a few nice balls particularly the one in between cover 3 along the sideline. I’m not getting too hype about 50/50 balls.

He is a flick thrower and doesn’t always drive it so the ball tends to sail on him some like on the first throw.

I don't know what you have against JG, but that is not what I saw today. He looked very confident and accurate when he threw it over the middle. He put the ball where he was supposed to on the 50/50 balls. You made it sound like he was bailed out by the receivers and that is not what happened at all. He missed a few throws for sure and he still does hold it too long, but I think he is almost definitely our starter against WVU.

Agreee

Agree with the winning factor but it comes into play if he wins 8 games in year 3 as well. The lease is shorter if he can't get the PR thing figured out.

Hopefully it doesn't matter

So....

When he's honest about the media, we love it.

When he's honest about expectations of the players, we love it.

When he's honest about expectations of fans, not so much.

We love his straight shooting, until it's aimed at us.

I was at the game and sat behind the Orange team sideline, about 8 rows back on the 30. I had a great view of Coach Friend coaching up the OL between series. There was never a time that they came off the field that he seemed satisfied. He was yelling and animated the whole time. He was in Ryan Johnson's grill a good bit, but never looked happy. I think that's great. They would come off the field happy because they had scored and he immediately started coaching them on where they need to improve. Very refreshing to see.

I have nothing against him at all. He’s a great kid. I just take performance fwiw. Most of our throws were very easy. He needs to complete them and at a higher rate than he did. The TD to 1 was a 50/50 jump ball that’s all i was saying about that. I’m usually not big on completion % but when you have no risk at being hit and vanilla defense and you don’t have a high one then that is a red flag.

I'm really hoping Alabama goes after Sweeney whenever Saban retires and not Pruitt. If I got hired by Alabama as their head football coach and Tennessee came calling, I wouldn't care what kind of program I'd built at Alabama, my rear end is headed to Knoxville. I'd be nothing more than a hired gun at Alabama. Got at inkling that Pruitt might be the same way.

For example JG should’ve had a TD in the end zone early on the ball Osborne broke up. He was late delivering that ball thus causing WR to slow down and Osborne to catch up and break it up. Those are the plays we need him to make. I’m not bashing him just pointing out things he needs to improve on.

100%.

We love the tough guy, no BS approach until it affects us. Funny how that works

I agree with this. He was late on a couple more, but I think he is improved. He is a skilled passer who needs more refinement. I think he will continue to improve.

I hope he does. He has some tools. Anticipation is a hard thing for QBs to develop not even considering what he’s been through coaching wise now another change.

When i mentioned his throwing style i just mean he has to be sound about his base because with his delivery it’s very easy to let the ball sail on you.

He would've been sacked on that play if it was live. In fact there were a lot of play were this was the case. The DL looked good for going about 75%. If they had gone more than that they definitely would've hit JG.
