We actually agree on that, believe it or not. I don't think it's a big deal we didn't pack the stadium today. I'm also not that bothered with Pruitt being upset about it. He's following the Saban method, and that means challenging the fanbase sometimes (and sometimes unfairly).
It did annoy me that some were latching on to this statement to rehash that old "the fanbase is the problem" saw that the media loves so much, so I thought I'd stick up for us a bit.
Didn't mean to rub anyone the wrong way.
I for see Pruitt getting real testy with the media when we lose games next year. Won't bother me none, but it probably will other folks. He'll need to be coached up on how to handle the media a little better IMO.
Idk who impressed me more with their growth from last year:
Palmer
Guarantano
Or Eli Wolf
Knoxville Media blow everything out of proportion. Butch Jones was Mr. Salesman and Knoxville Media is one of the reasons that saying like "Champions of Life" got ridiculed, when in reality it wasn't that bad. So, now Pruitt is blunt and says what he thinks. If today is any indication, he just needs to stay away from them as much as possible because the impression I got and what he actually said were two different things.
Hey guys...under center...I formation.
You know what else? There were a couple of times when we lined up in the I where we didn't run the ball. I was totally fooled. It was like they were trying to make it harder to tell what the play was.
Whatta relief...
CjP has ZERO feel for PR. If he doesn't win quickly it will be a Nightmare havin a bamer coaching us that has no skills outside the lines.
Wolf. Palmer still needs better route running and still misses catchable balls. Not as bad as last year but still a ways to go. Little Wolf went from walk on/scholarship to "first string". I think that's a huge growth. He's also much bigger than last year
