Think some folks might be overreacting to what Pruitt actually said...

My assessment of Pruitt is that he will either be the guy thats gets us back, or his tenure here will be polarizing, ugly and short. Im honestly not sure which at this point. He inherits an ok roster, but a rotten, unforgiving environment. My take continues to be that he doesnt have a honeymoon period from fans or recruits - no one we hired would after the Schianomo. Hes also very blunt, and that may rub folks the wrong way. Some fans and players truly will quit on him pretty early on. Im also not sure he has the make up to handle the inevitable 45-10 beatings we will take against better completion (UGA, Bama). Going to be a fascinating next few months and years.
Just got back. I got stuck on the shuttle line/ride and didn't hear what he said. I heard some talk on the radio and thought he wasn't starting well criticizing fans when there was a good crowd there (IMO)
But this is fine. Nothing to see here. Just the truth.
Some people will just never be able to get over JG pouting on the sidelines during that GT game.
Most of those people also choose to ignore the fact that Dormady quit on the team after JG took his job.
Its probably the tattoos and the fact that hes from up north.
Vol fans are simultaneously some of the best AND some of the worst fans in college football. The sensitive whiners need to get over themselves. Good grief.
Some may also perceive dogging the fanbase over not having 100k at the spring game as a form of sensitive whining.
I've been respectful to everyone I have engaged with today. So has LA Vol. As such, let me just say as to this matter, I respectfully disagree.
Carry on.
IMO, its much ado about nothing. To each his own I reckon.
I think he is a good coach and will do well here, but will sprint to Tuscaloosa if he gets the opportunity. Cant blame him. Its most every coaches dream to coach at their alma matter.
