He should've never brought the fanbase into the discussion in the first place! Want to talk crap and be critical of your team Pruitt? Fine! You have that right. But don't you EVER criticize this fanbase again! We dont deserve it! We've done our part over the last 10 years!

Also I do like preseason NFL because I love football. I watch it and arena football as well. Sometimes the CFL.

He just got here. He hasn't gotten to experience the true strength and loyalty of Volnation yet.

But we'll show him, just like he's gonna show us he's the right man for this job.

This really isn't that big of a deal.

This fanbases has supported this team both financially and in attendence for a decade of trash football. A team that hasnt won an sec game since 2016. So yeah, be thankfully 65k showed up and worry about the product on the field.
The issue i have with this comment is it adds to the anger if he puts a crappy product on the field the next two years.
But the fans dont owe him to show up at a practice.

Why do you keep calling it a practice? Normal practices don't get nationally televised. I guarantee you the players look at it as much more than a practice. The ones that didn't likely won't be here come August. Fans are no different.

Ridiculous. its a damn scrimmage. If Pruitt was talking about a weak fan showing for when we play UTEP, fine. Thats fair. A f***ing spring game?? get over yourself Pruitt, and to all the fans here that are bending over for daddy pruitt just like they did for butch, dooley, and kiffin

Did a w/l go in the record books? If not, its a practice. And the only reason fans wont be there in august is because their first game isnt until sept.

We’ve done our part for more than ten years , good years and bad . We as a fan base will continue to do its part because we love Tennessee football but come on we have some of the most rabid and sensitive fans in football and the man is trying to light a fire with some pretty damp wood and I’m sure he has been talking up our fan base to these elite recruites visiting this weekend with some of them using the OV this year . Wouldn’t you want the biggest crowd to show up and show these kids the rabid and hungry fan side ?

We were 3rd in the SEC. Are you happy with that? It's not acceptable to Coach Pruitt or the players, and it shouldn't be to the fans. This is how you begin to change the culture of a program. If you don't like it, come back in 2020 or so.

Imho: Some if you are waaay over reacting. Listen to the context:

VIDEO: Jeremy Pruitt Discusses Orange & White Game | RTI

Around the 7:45 mark. He was asked about attendance, asked the reporter the total, he then says it was great and the Vol Walk was spectacular. Then goes on to compare support today to the team. Never dogged people who came. Just said some people just didn't show up (without a reason) just like some players today. That's not a knock, just the truth.

I honestly believe that there's really only a small group of Vol fans who misread and are upset with these comments, but they're the ones making the most noise.

Watch some idiot's gonna write an article about how "unhappy" Vol fans are with the comments which it's really only like 5 or 6 people.
