If Hurts would have came to Tennessee instead of Alabama, he would either have already transferred or been moved to another position. Can't throw. Being surrounded by NFL players at every position sure can mask some of those weaknesses. I predict Hurts will struggle wherever he may land.

I expect CJP to withdraw his offer anyday. Butch level poster IMO. :)

Hey now, under butch I was an unmotivated poster and rarely paid attention in these meeting rooms. But Pruitt has really turned my attitude around and now you can't keep me away posting all day every day. Some may even think I spend too much time in here now. I've been told they may find a role for me in sub formations where a bad joke can really make a difference.

Put you at third string longsnapper when there's only two on the team huh?

Pruitt says the DB's on the roster are actually very good. Just were never taught technique or the technique was awful.

I'm not surprised by any of that. And that sounds a little like praise from a coach who seems very unlikely to praise that position.

Agreed. Screamed "TURN YOUR FLIPPIN HEAD AROUND" so many times at the t.v. my wife made me pause the game and take a lap before I could resume.

VN waiting on this Depth Chart like...

I strongly agree with this.

Eh his surgeries were after season and he missed spring not fall camp. Cece is out until September which means no fall camp or summer work. Much bigger issue

Florida writers said he should be back for fall camp unless he has a setback.

So, Jefferson's rehab is going to be less than four months and he'll be ready for preseason.

Tennessee held its final spring practice Thursday before Saturday’s Orange & White Game.

The Vols were just in helmets and shorts, but multiple staff members were clearly displeased with the effort early in practice, even for a lighter workout.

Tracy Rocker made it clear Thursday was still a work day, making his entire unit redo a drill after the DL lollygagged from one period to the next.

“I guess it’s going to be one of those days,” Rocker said. “I told y’all it ain’t going to be happy days around here anymore.”

Elsewhere, Chris Rumph continued to give Jordan Allen the business, making the JUCO do up-downs after he committed a would-be facemask penalty and then lined up offsides on the very next rep. Austin Smith also drew some spirited words during the session.

The OL was doing its usual fundamental work, but notably Greg Emerson was getting reps at RT today.

I watched the TEs more closely today, and they were doing various run blocking drills with the chute. Brian Niedermeyer was all over Jacob Warren and James Brown, but Latrell Bumphus received some praise for his pad level and physicality.

Finally, Tennessee had its biggest collection of guys working on the side Thursday. Devante Brooks and Trey Smith were with the S&C staff, as were Jauan Jennings, Todd Kelly Jr. and Chance Hall. Joining them were TE Ja’Quain Blakely, who was rocking a boot on his foot, and linebacker Dillon Bates.
