The WRASSLIN’ Thread

Exactly... People act like this was booked to be an epic, one off spectacle.

No but why can’t all the matches they have be EPIC. Plus it’s Wrestlemania. Matches should go all out there regardless. NJPW sure doesn’t hold back at Wrestle Kingdom.

Settle down. They’re not going to shoot their load in the first match.

Kenny Omega and Okada sure did. And then they kept shooing big loads in the next two matches. You don’t have to hold back in the first match to make future ones “better.” That’s just silly.

This is where I think wrestling has gotten screwed up. Somewhere after Vince admitted everything was fake, people started judging matches solely based on their aesthetics and choreography instead of the stories/issues involved.

Whaaaat???

Some people treat pro wrestling as a sport, when it isn't. WWE/F has always been a tv show.

Last Sunday wasn’t New Japan so who cares what they did?

In pro wrestling the ride, the fun in getting their, is what matters. Just calm down and let it happen.

AJ and Nakamura didn't need a slow burn build to it and besides if you are going to do a slow burn build then Mania should be your ending and not your beginning.

Yes I do and your fooling yourself if you think Vince is building towards an epic rematch between AJ and Nakamura at Mania 35 or at this years Summerslam for that matter.

Lol. Always fun when dooz gets someone mad. Like clockwork they always say something really stupid. The entire match at Mania was geared around Nakamura’s heel turn in order to properly begin this feud

Because it didn't.

I’ve been watching WM since 86. Every year it’s neen used to end storylines, start them, and continue them. Last week was no different. With the post WM Raw and SD becoming so huge, the idea of building stories through Mania is only enhanced
