I could see that. I know at first Lyle was setting attendance records at these spring games with the gimmicks and that's nice and all. Especially since we kinda needed something to get excited about after Dooley. But it got old after a while and didn't seem to benefit the players. Plus I kinda think he was using creative accounting to create those attendance estimates. It will be nice to just go back to football. If they wanna do a skills competition it should be like a pre-game activity in the parking lot with former players coming back and playing with the kids or something. That would be fun.

just 'no autographs'. lol.

I haven't been on in a couple days, but it looks like I missed some of the most riveting conversations...

My two cents:
1. Lebron doesn't have the clutch gene that MJ had. Yes, he has hit some game winners in his career, but I can't remember Lebron being the deciding factor in games where it mattered most, like MJ did.

2. As far as some of the position changes are concerned, I think Pruitt could just be using them as teaching opportunities. For example, by moving Emerson & Butler to OL, he's making them think like O-linemen. If you know how O-linemen think and react, it makes it that much easier to beat them when you're on the DL. Same with Fant moving to MLB. If Fant can learn how a MLB reads a RB coming out of the backfield, he'll know how to beat them.

I’m all for autographs. My favorite memories as a kid were walking up to the players to get autographs. It’s an experience that helped define my young fanhood.

I'm all for kids getting autographs. Adults doing it bothers me. Not that I have a problem with it really. But the autograph dealer types that have like 15 things they want signed and they're only doing it to sell the items. I don't like that.

Living in South Florida, I always go to a few spring training games. The first game I took my daughter, we get a foul ball by Eddie Murray. We walked down to the right field corner as he's doing his conditioning work once he was removed from the game and he was signing autographs. This dealer was in front of us with a carton of about a dozen balls and he referred to Murray as Eddie Murphy. Murray said, "you can go to the end of the line and I might sign your baseballs later".

Murray had a reputation as being a bit surly, but it was hilarious when it happened.

I'm all for these famous people refusing to autograph for dealers. If that's what gets you a reputation as Surly, then I'm a fan of surly. haha

Totally understand that part of it. If there’s a way to have a kid from Cookeville get Shy’s autograph without having the comic book guy from the Simpsons hogging all the time, then everyone’s a winner.

This would be a pretty stupid waste of time imo. I don’t think all the moves will stick. Hopefully he’ll move Emerson and Crosby back.

#2 - IMO that's the main reason for some of the moves that don't seem to make sense otherwise. :good!:

You're way overthinking it on number two IMO.

Haha you silly lil dude. Nobody got mad about any of yer silly hot takes. In fact yer gifs of Michael destroying white guys were the best part of the whole thing. But if you wanna pretend you accomplished something and take yer little ball and go home, I promise you, nobody will notice. :eek:k::hi:

Hope Alontae sticks at corner, though.
