Well maybe it is real. Here’s an article that says Auburn had 28,000 and they usually have about triple that amount

Ended up good for him as GA st actually won the NCAA 2X

Was it the D1 title? It was Augusta State not Ga State.

You guys didn't convince me to like him. Too much smoke for being a bad guy for me. I am pulling for Grand Slam history today.

Looks like Ole Miss fans are fair weather fans.

I heard he likes pineapple on his pizza and eat his steaks well-done with ketchup.

Burn the witch.

I know you get to go to practices and what not. Does JG look much different than he did last year during fall camp? Also how does the offense as a whole look under Helton so far? I’m not exactly worried about the defense as I believe Pruitt will get it straightened out even if we have a few hiccups. Offense is terrifying after last year though

one small scrimmage note...

Was told that Shawn Shamburger got dinged up yesterday (for the podcast listeners he was my pick as a potential scrimmage standout). Injury isn't serious, but it allowed Theo Jackson and Cheyenne Labruzza to get a lot of reps with the 1s and 2s at the STAR/nickel spot.

Posters keep asking for scrimmage info...From a poster on VQ who’s a coach and was at the scrimmage yesterday...

We were asked not to share specifics. We are in good hands with this staff. This team will play hard and be fundamentally sound. The team is already better than they were at any point last year. I love the schemes on both sides of the ball.

Sticking with his spring theme, Pruitt declined to elaborate on the play of Tennessee's quarterbacks or any other individual players.

Asked if any players or position groups stood out to him, Pruitt finished a gulp of water, set the bottle down on the podium and said "No" with a blank expression.

One source told the Times Free Press that sophomore quarterback Will McBride and junior receiver Marquez Callaway played well during the scrimmage, which included 110 to 120 plays for Tennessee's first- and second-team players.

Notes from a poster on VQ on the scrimmage...

If the defense stays healthy they can keep us in games. Huge IF...

Tuttle looks very good (once again if he can stay healthy)

Warrior is going to thrive under Pruitt. Just a player

DL manhandled our OL most of the time

Guarantano looks better/more accurate than last year but still has a ways to go

OL is what everyone thinks, not very good and desperately need Trey Smith healthy

Nothing earth shattering but final thoughts are like I said, this will be a team right now that needs the defense to step up and keep us in the game. Health will be paramount for making a bowl this year. Hopefully all of our defensive minds as coaches will get them disciplined and mean enough to keep us in games while our offense continues to grow.
