Unless his playing hurt affected his career. Then you’d be preaching that Barnes made the wrong call for selfish reasons. :loco:

No need to poor mouth that roster, it was what it was, and it wasn't great outside of a handful of stars. Was Kiffin's year at Rocky Top great? No, not at all, but I wouldn't call it a failure. As much as it pains me, I've got to give credit where credit is due. There were some bright spots: that UGA, Bama, S. Carolina stretch; making a serviceable OL (outside of Vs Tech) despite having to rely on 2 walk-on starters; and Crompton's progression.

I buy it in regards to that 2013 defensive roster. But we did have one of our best OL units in a long time in 2013, and the way Jones mishandled that was a coaching failure. To this day, I think Jones still believes his pee wee league offensive system can work in the big leagues with a pocket passer, smh.

Yeah just went back and listened to his press conference and he didn't sound pissed. Very matter of fact. Matter of fact is the way to be.

Hubbs asked Pruitt about our physicality after the first 8 practices and Pruitt responded "we ain't hardly got the pop yet" after saying you could pretty much here it when the ball is snapped. Nice having a coach who knows what it takes from a physicality standpoint where we need to be in this league.

Since I brought it up, I feel like there’s enough similarities between 2009 and this year to set expectations at a similar level. To me, talent isn’t the biggest difference or unknown; coaching is. We have extreme coaching talent, but how well will they mesh together? Enough shakiness there for me to say 7 wins is a mid-level expectation.

It’s really nice always hearing the reporters complain about only getting “7-10” mins of practice footage every report. Bunch of whiny *****es
