His lines at UGA were ripping holes open so wide that Gurley looked like he was playing Tecmo Bowl. I haven't seen lines like that since Majors/Fulmer. Will Friend is hands down better than Pittman if you like old school lines that destroy DLs.

Like the way this sounds. I just remember reading AJC articles and the biggest whipping boy in the comments section was the OL coach. Recruiting was their biggest complaint but UGA fans weren’t enamored with the style either. Doesn’t jibe with my initial impression of him with us tho.

Still remember that 4th & 19 play he made at BAMA in OT. earned that nickname.

He came in the game as a Freshman against Alabama and someone ripped his helmet off. He proceeds to keep fighting and scrambling around and completes a pass. The scowl on his face was classic walking back to the huddle.

I do

to you "lashing out" is getting the fake ones just right before the drag show starts so I don't think you are the expert here.

Idk what that means. I’m not up on my drag show lingo I guess?

But you knowing so much about them does kinda explain why your posts are always so much drama

When Friend left UGA their OL took a dip and hasn't recovered despite the job Pittman did with them last season. Friend's lines were just out of this world good -- they belonged in a different era of football (think 80s and 90s Vol OLs). He's one reason I'm excited for our future, especially when we get to year 2 with him.

With recruiting I don't know if that was Friend's fault or Richt's -- I've heard more complaints from UGA folks about Richt never being a good OL recruiter than anything else. There was an interim period between when Friend left and when Pittman took over that was long enough to where they certainly shouldn't have had all the depth woes they had in Kirby's first season. Even so, I'm not sure UGA fans know what depth woes really are. They've always complained about depth 'problems' others would love to have.

That game still might be my favorite of all time. We have had some great wins, but we absolutely crushed their little Bama souls in that one.

one in particular that i got to watch the game with. priceless.

i haven't talked to him since.:eek:lol:

Good stuff!

Iceman is the best qb I’ve ever watched at Tennessee. Keep in mind I was 5 when Peyton graduated

If I want to be undefeated in the state of Florida, Iceman 💯 for $2, Alex. Add in AK for running, receiving, and kick return duties at a steal for $3. Witten is as solid a safety outlet as they come; one of the best ever and solidly worth $4. K-dub was full of himself and for good reason and another steal at $1.

So for my $10, I have the greatest QB under pressure in the history of the program, a dynamic RB, three massive receiving threats, and an A+ return game. Beat dat, homies.

Is it me or does it seem like in recruiting news there is a top 100 or 300 player wh has “set his sights on UT” or “ has UT in top 3” but seem to be signing 3 star players. I know signing day is 10 months away and things ebb and flow, just seems like 5 star players are like yeah you have a great coach and university but your not going to win a title like Baka or uga or LSU or auburn.......

I like Bray in a jet ski competition as well.

LOL. No doubt. In all seriousness, I wish Bray had had a better coach here. Talented guy who needed someone to help him learn and mature. I don't think he was ever the bad boy slacker that many portrayed hum as just a guy who was immature for his age and who had idiots in charge of him.

Honestly am a little disappointed with how recruiting has went so far. I don't find our current 2019 class to be that impressive right now.

We're used to CBJ style recruiting where things start early and commits drop every few weeks. I think Pruitt is taking his time but it's hard not to miss all the booms. Recruiting was a good offseason distraction the way it was organized under Jones.

Perfect timing for me to drop my roster projections for Blue Chip talent this year. :)

(I use the 247 composite and attrition is included. 2015-17 are from the respective fall rosters; 2018 is my guesstimate for this fall).
