I think his point was that all the shootings should be sensationalized. Maybe a nightly news release of the the gun violence totals for the past 24 hours.
Secondly, if Cali and San Fran didn't have strict laws, things would be even worse; and if all states had laws as strict as Cali's, things would be better.
Kinda interesting you making an absolute statement that things "would have been worse."
Care to back that statement up?
It's not as interesting as the absolute statement that gun laws "do not keep things from being even worse."
I think there are two absolute truths to which we can all agree.
1. No amount of gun law is going to stop all criminal use of guns.
2. If everyone was armed, there would still be criminal use of guns.
The goal is to reduce gun crime, it's an acknowledged fact that it will never be eliminated.
America would cease to exist without gun laws from sea to sea. Erbody wants to kill erbody. With a gun.
Thank God for our Lord and Savior. The United States government.
Yet you still advocate reducing the number of guns owned and operated by law abiding citizens. smhIt's not as interesting as the absolute statement that gun laws "do not keep things from being even worse."

Fewer guns on circulation mean that criminals will have fewer guns. C'mon man. Law abiding citizenry being disarmed is merely collateral damage.Based on those two premises the only logical conclusion is to arm the law abiding citizens at least as well as the criminals to insure an equal footing. Its the only rational and reasonable conclusion one could reach.
Sure I do:
Type: Any that fires more than x rounds per y seconds
Number: Can purchase no more than x guns per y months
Plus: Close all gun show, private and internet sales loopholes.
Plus: Close all gun show, private and internet sales loopholes.
Drop the political catchphrases that mean nothing.
What precisely do you mean by that - outlaw all private sales, or require a private seller to run a background check on a person before selling a gun to them?
Regardless of which one you mean, how would you go about enforcing that? I can sell a gun to someone just as easily as I can sell them some football tickets or a TV.
