I fear Greer will feast on our secondary. Pruitt won’t be able to pressure him as much as he would like if the secondary doesn’t come toghether in this scheme. Tough first game to play.

I think we can put up some points though. Won’t be surprised with a 35-31 type game.

The more we get out of our DL/pass rushers the better for our CBS.

I think our offensive scheme will help our OL a lot. A lot screens (rb, bubble, tunnel, etc), unbalanced lines and play action.

We just have to have big plays on offense. It’s hard to sustain drives like that.

I’ve bet on WVU several times where i thought they would for sure win or cover and they cost me a lot so that’s another reason I’m not scared going into that.

We have outrecruited them every year except 2018 during this roster span. They were one spot ahead of us in 2018, with one more four star barely putting them ahead. On paper, we have the more talented roster. Muschamp got more out of his talent than Butch, but that shouldn't be the case from now on.

Yeah I think it could go either way. Us win 35 or them. I plan to be there to find out. Should be a fun first game!

I see what you’re saying but spurrier put in a great foundation and muscahmp has good talent eval so I’m just assuming thy have better players right now. Doesn’t mean at all they should or will beat us.

There talent has really eroded the last few years of spurrier imo

You should probably go ahead and change your name to Eeyore. We get it, you don't like this roster. You're awful hard on kids you don't know, who've had their lives negatively impacted by piss poor leadership for multiple years. Give them a chance to redeem themselves before you write them off as "quitters." You're a 4-8 poster.

I think we will be in basically every game we play. I expect UGA to take a step back especially on defense. They will still win the east but will be 10-2 imo. Auburn is always always good for a let down. Hopefully that’s against us.

We have talent and potential. The worry is is it too late and not enough time for some of that talent and how behind is it.

Prime example, Phillips. Big time potential but lack of development in strength program and moving him around set him back. Can Pruitt and Fitz tap into that in 1 yr?

Taylor loaded with potential but not in greatest position under last staff. I can see him exploding in his new role with Pruitt.

We won't know what we got until game 1 and heck butch loved having his best players on bench lol so who knows what we got

I don’t disagree with this premise. I just think our disagreement is that you thought last year was a 8 win roster when I’d say it was about a 6 win roster.

I think this year’s roster is good enough for 5 or 6 wins. But I don’t assume Jeremy Pruitt is going to be perfect as a first time head coach. He’s going to have some hiccups that could cost us a game somewhere.

It's hard to say. Was last year's failure due to players not playing hard and quitting or to the coaches' failure to develop players and put the right personnel on the field? How much of a role did poor conditioning play? Or are some players just overrated and not going to give us the production we expected?

As a benchmark, I think as long as we're consistently outrecruiting them we should be beating them. If we're not, it's generally due to a variable we can fix.

In that one v one done drill he was going against Tuttle. Getting destroyed but that made me think (and hope) it's because he's the only one that can put up a fight against Tuttle
