That’s how our AD needs to operate. Outside of normal methods. We are a German Shepherd acting like a chihuahua.

:lolabove:

It never sunk in what they have to work with is excellent. Started chasing rabbits everywhere. Just really, really bad leadership well into its second decade.

Agreed. Folks need to start thinking more like the big dogs think. Those with big resources are not constrained by normal methods.

Maybe but he doesn't seem smart enough to do that after seeing all the stuff he did have on that phone. Haha. It is very weird that a lot of other donors were in touch but not a single message to or from Haslam. Not even ones that weren't about the coaches.

What I am still laughing about is Hyams getting played. That Brohm was never an option, yet, was laid out there like he was is just a KMA to the media and Vol fan base.

I would have liked to see UT settle for less. We held the best hand. At some point, UT is going to have to stop giving golden parachutes to incompetents who should've been fired for cause.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure the coach currently getting paid the most by Notre dame is still Charlie Weiss. How long ago was he there. Hahaha

Edit: I guess it ended finally. Here is an article about how much he made to not coach at Notre dame. Hahahaha

I'd like to see the documents on Cranegate. Has anybody submitted a public records request for those? That should be fun reading.

:)

There's no way you are going to know what he had access to outside of a subpoena, and even then stuff just seems to disappear.

Which is another reason for UT to settle this at an amount that seems higher than they should or could have. UT's attorneys may know stuff detrimental to its cause that Currie or others like Schiano could use. Schiano still has around 8-9 months to file a lawsuit if I am correct about the statute. Better to make it all go away and stone wall potential liability

Heck yeah I am. We have a good foundation now.

Dreaming for Quenton Nelson, but I’d “settle” for Minkah Fitzpatrick or one of the edge rushers. Pace would have to lose oxygen to his brain to mess this up...famous last words.

It’s apparent to me that Currie panicked and lost sight of due process. He had his top guys lined up for whatever reason or another, but when that didn’t pan out, he short-circuited. Inexperience reared its ugly head. It’s also pretty obvious he had Haslam whispering loudly in his ear, which led him further astray. If he would have been focused on keeping in line with who his true superiors were and focused on the right process, he might still be here...and we wouldn’t have had this mess.

It’s like one influential politician telling you what’s good, when in reality he’s only one vote of many...and inconveniently on the losing side of the vote.
