I agree. This is a mental health issue. If you want a real gun problem try and take away guns. I’m not saying certain measures shouldn’t be taken, like say take away a 60 round drum, but it will be a long, long process that people will fight as long as possible . I think there could be a compromise that would reduce magazine capacity, but it won’t make a damn bit of difference .

There is no compromises. If you give an inch even over mag capacity the Luthers of the world will try to take a country mile.

But they don't understand the term compromise anyway. For example: I challenge Luther, OBV and the resident attorneys to tell me what they will give to me that I do not already have if I give them.... oh... bump stocks? Or waiting periods? Or age limits? What will you give me to enhance my rights?

I will say this has given quite a few schools a wake up call. Faculty are far quicker to ask the "who are you and why are you here" questions to those they don't know.

And before some chowder head says anything, my company was contacted to provide additional monitor services to an area school district.

So the children are pissed about their new backpacks. They're going as far as stuffing paper in them to conceal what's inside, which obviously defeats the purpose. They wanted more mother government, they got it, they don't like it. It's an invasion of their privacy. But gun registration and mental exams for law abiding people is what exactly?

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel to face no-confidence vote from his own deputies - CNN

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, who touted his own "amazing leadership" after the Parkland school shooting, is facing a no-confidence vote from the union representing his deputies.

Jeff Bell, the president of the Broward Sheriff's Office Deputies Association, told CNN on Friday that union members had decided to move forward with the vote, which will begin electronically tonight and will close on April 26.

"There is a complete failure at the sheriff's office and he doesn't recognize it," Bell said.

Calling the vote a "ploy," Israel said the union "is trying to use the Parkland tragedy as a bargaining tactic to extort a pay raise."

The no-confidence voting period will close April 26, to allow all the voting members to cast their ballot during their shift. All deputies and sergeants in the union will have the power to vote.

While the outcome of the no-confidence vote is mostly symbolic, it will give the sheriff a sense of what his rank-and-file deputies think of his command.

OMG how did he survive??? I figured the AR-15 would jump up and shoot everyone there!!!!

He and his father should own that freaking school before it's over. I would have both resource officers fired plus the deputy. I would reach out to Marco Rubio and go all the way to the SCOTUS if I could. This is EXACTLY why we have the 2A. Tyranny is coming, the society morons just refuse to see it.
