Since Currie had to get a new phone when all this went down, Brady Hoke texted on the new phone and told him he wanted the job etc and Currie responded "I'm sorry who is this?" lololol

I can only assume this: it's much harder for an athlete to get into TN than OKSt.

This is a known fact among coaches. TN is one of a few schools to have more stringent testing guidelines for acceptance for athletes. See: Orlando Brown & OU

I am guessing Gundy wanted John to promise those standards would be dropped to the level he is used to at OKSt before considering the job. John obviously can't just do that.

Rich Bisaccia getting more desperate for Currie’s attention cracks me up. I’m picturing him trying to find Currie’s address to send flowers

IDT Gundy has ever been serious about taking the UT job. Meeting with Tennessee is an easy path to raises and extensions while he continues to coach where he wants-- at his alma mater.
