Coming back in 6 months meaning returning to football activities. Which could have possibly kept him from ever fully regaining form. You can only play who is on your schedule and out QBs struggled against bad defenses and teams too. Anytime you play on the road at a P5 team and play well I’m not gonna take it for granted.

Point is, maybe the injury had some effect but he wasn't much better before it. And those teams you give him credit for because they're p5 were not anywhere near as good as the defenses JG faced and put up similar numbers against behind walk on Olinemen. Plus he seemed to improve the last 2 games with an interim coach.

This right here is why it's okay to bash Butch. If he took a HC job at some small school, good luck to him. Or even sit out a year and become a broadcaster. But he's interning at Alabama? Eff that guy. Hope he gets mud on his Jordans every single day.

To me it's like having a bad break up with a girl that turned out to be a crappy person who almost immediately starts dating the most popular kid who is a gigantic douche. Butch couldn't give two dueces about UT so why should we waste a single minute more worrying about him. We've got a real coach now. Butch can rot as an intern for all I care. He has zero to do with UT Football moving forward.

IMO, Chryst has to earn the job but the coaches expect him to do that. If he can't, it means JG has upped his game and adapted quickly to the new system. Win-win.

The bill for almost 2 decades of UTAD incompetence and contempt for the fanbase is finally coming due.

Everything has been impacted-- annual giving, premium seating and stadium renos. It puts UT in a bind because they need to raise ticket prices for the reno, but are already facing a decline in ticket sales and attendance. It's pay the piper time for UTAD.

you look at what former Bama position coaches and coordinators are doing....taking coordinator and head coaching jobs at the P5 level, and our former head coaches are position coaches, interns and social media darlings.

we've been doing this wrong for a while now.
