In fingers thread Simonton said way too many balls on the ground from Wide Receivers and down the page the update from Patrick Brown says there didn't seem to be an abundance of balls on the ground. These guys watching the same practice?

Fingers is Simonton. Simonton is Fingers.

First day out and the consensus was the QBs were hit or miss, so too many balls on the ground sounds about right.

Only four injured players working out on the sideline. I thought CJP said everybody was going to be participating in some way?

Chryst is going to start. He didn’t come here to sit the bench.

I hope JG gets it done this spring. If not Chryst will probably start. He had good TD/int ratios despite the lower 55% completion percentage. The number of incompletions that were a result of having to throw the ball away would be good to know. It's the forgotten variable in looking at completion percentages. JG's would have been much worse had he learned to throw it away instead of holding it too long and getting his brains kicked in last season.

He did start there and played a lot well too. He had a bad injury and never really got back to normal.

He was exactly the same statistically before the injury as after. The injury seemed to have no impact on his ability.

Same as last year. JG hasn't done anything since what his jr year of HS?

He played his senior year and last year. Maybe clearer on the question? While we’re gnoshing, how much ass did Chryst kick in Stanford’s first practice last season?

Slow steady 56% completion percentage. Not one to show off. Just a regular joe. :)

But I mean when yer throwing as far as 5 or 6 yards downfield on a good day you can expect a low percentage. Hahaha.

Arc...not distance! 6 yard completion that travelled 27 yards from the Earth’s surface! :yess:

6-6 for me. This team at best has middle of the road SEC talent IMO. Not good depth at all on either side of the line and the starters aren't very good to begin with. Big question marks at QB and DB as well. First year head coach, defensive coordinator and offensive coordinator. I think anyone who's expecting more than 6 wins with all of that going on is way off base.
