It wouldn't be Spring practice without Catbone harping about injuries. In this case, I actually agree with you. I have to believe that it's not all bad luck.

Lol I mean, statistically at some point it has to change.

Whatever happened, happened the season before when Hurd was still here. The year prior they were tough and motivated (playing above themselves really) but not quite there yet talent and experience wise. Then they went into what should've been a great season ill-prepared, out-of-sync, and soft.

For whatever reason Jones couldn't recover from that. The team was lost then. The only other factor I can see is Butch getting rid of Jancek for Shoop and the conflict between Shoop and others just spinning things into chaos. Hard to keep a team together when the DC, HC, and assistants are at odds.

Not sure when it started, but I think it escalated when Hurd left the team the first time and Butch went and talked him back. Then he let Hurd start skipping workouts and practices and soon others were doing it, too. Dooley had some of that with Da'Rick and Bray. From all accounts, CJP won't be condoning that and the team will be stronger for it. Favoritism can ruin team chemistry, as we saw the past two years.

How many carbs do those bars have?

I’ve been drinking lots of the premier protein drinks from Sams. 30g protein and like 2-3 carbs. They have some great new flavors. Banana cream, cookies n cream, and peaches and cream are my faves.

I dont get enough protein daily. Prob between 150-200 grams. Hard to get more than that and keep my total calories in check.

We had our March madness party at work the other day and it was very difficult not to partake in any of the batter fried foods and delicious cakes.

Just checked the empty wrapper in the trash can. 30g of carbs. Low fiber which helps lower the fart exhaust ratio. Biggest thing I look at after protein and calories is fat, and the Clif bars are low in fat (and low glycemic) too.

All else considered, good quality shake powders are the way to go.

What's a crow hopper?

Kelly Barnhill. Blatant. Every pitch.

She hops forward and replants her foot, pitching closer to home plate.

Very good points on timing of it all. To me, Butch had no handle on discipline. Of course, I’m order to have effective discipline, you have to have genuine care for the individual. I’m not sold that Butch had either quality. Add in inequality in treatment, and he lost respect.

In math terms:
Inequality + phoniness = Ineffecitve discipline

=> no respect

=> 4-8 record

uh yeah.. Didn't think that was legal at all.

It's not but for whatever reason she is allowed to do it.

I saw someone post in the softball forum that she's been getting busted for it and got beat twice by Georgia. She was pretty much unhittable last season. Ofcourse who wouldn't be when everyone else is pitching from 43 feet and you're pitching from 35 feet.

Stick around, later we’ll be discussing soccer and places to eat in Destin.

I've been doing the InVOLuntary diet. It's a book put out by a very intelligent guy. It's very high carbs and very low protein. In addition, it stresses zero cardio or weight lifting. It consists of serveral Swiss cake rolls each day. I'm trying to get in touch with the university and get Kyle Alexander on it.

Several have called Butch a micromanager, but I agree with you - he did not run a tight ship. Maybe he spread himself too thin, but discipline was lost in all areas of the team. Also many HCs who are not strong in discipline usually have a trusted staff member who is a disciplinarian (Cutcliffe for Fulmer), CBJ never seemed to have that guy.

Some of the micro managing was about the stuff that did not matter for the most part. Some of it could be handled by employees within the UTAD. Keeping a book on media, silly charts, schedules, checking on who is watching practices during each, where people are parked (a Dools move), meetings about meetings, etc., etc. Dude was as paranoid as they come.

But agree on the lax ways he dealt with players, especially his pets. Have no idea what that was all about.

Supposedly it has to do with having your body get used to going after fat storage for energy since you barely eat any carbs, or something like that. Idk i was/am still skeptical and I figured it was just one of those fad diets but I saw my brother in law lose over 150 pounds on it. So I decided I’d try it.

I’ve lost 40 so far on no carbs, without adding the fat. Still tricking my body into burning fat for energy.
