What did you have for dinner II?

I could live on this diet.

The song goes, "Beans and cornbread." There's a reason for that. Together, beans and cornbread provide essential sustenance. Fried taters and cornbread come up short in that regard. I'm not suggesting you deprive yourself of fried taters, just that you throw in some beans.

Late start for supper... got the idea to stop by Costco for a prime anything, they were closed. Default was local grocery store for a NY Strip... grilled steak and asparagus smothered with 20 or more cloves of garlic/butter that were grilled.

Sign out there says 10 more days to spring... still a foot of snow laying on the ground, but that will go fast and then the RecTec gets back in the game.... brisket will be the first!

RecTec rules. I got one for Xmas, my first pellet grill. Working my way up to brisket, it's a way of life in Texas.

You are correct on the Texas thing... I lived in Austin and BBQ is king there. Lockhart was a special trip for sure.

Did it again... Costco run. Grilled prime rib eye and asparagus, smothered in butter and of course 20 garlic cloves grilled as well. Man that is good stuff.

Edit... watching Gold Rush, eating steak and reading Volnation, in my Bunker. Sweet Friday.

Early dinner at the Golden corral. Me and my daughter went with my friend and his daughter and spent the day together as a daddy daughter day. My middle one, and his daughter are friends, so we took them to eat and shopping. We just didn't tell them we were going to Academy, Dicks, and bass pro before they could go to the mall 😆

Last night, baked chicken leg quarter, lima beans w. feta cheese crumbles

St Patty's Day, corned beef w taters 'n' cabbage
