The reason we lost is because our guards couldn't hit the three ball, wide open, while theirs we draining contested threes all night long. Our guards couldn't drive and when they tried they were physically assaulted at the rim and couldn't get a whistle. At the same time their guards would drive and if we contested the shot at all the refs bailed them out time after time with a foul. Kyle would have no doubt helped by challenging shots at the rim and with rebounding but our lack of guard play cost us the game.

It has hurt us all year

I think I’m growing used to it. Like LWSVol in football, I’ve learned to lower my expectations.

I’m a little late on the analysis but I thought we really missed Kyle on the high ball screen. All year our big men have hedged really hard on them and been able to recover due to Kyle being able to cover up any late rotations if it wasn’t him hedging. I thought we would have been better off last night not hedging that play as hard and forcing the guy to drive the ball. Loyola was very good at making the extra pass or pump faking into a wide open shot once we started scrambling. They may have been the best passing team we played all year and they shot really well. Just my two cents...

Also, I wish Jordan would have driven the ball hard that last play instead of pulling up but I understand it’s hard to do when time is running out.

Kyle being out messes everything up starting with the rotation of players and the chemistry. It obviously affected the team

The team dropped that hype video and I knew it was over.

The region fell apart and the path was clear to the elite 8 and I knew it was over.

Just so defeated. I hate it for the players and I hate it for the fans.

Expectations were high because we were good.

We got outplayed - some things went against us and some things went for us.

We lost. It sucks. I am grumpy about it.

Next year is next year. Nothing guaranteed. Will have to earn it.

I hope the players use this as motivation. If they do they will be mad and hungry. That’s a good combo.

I didn't follow the bball team like I wanted to, life got in the way.

But it was a great season and they overachieved.

It was a easing and I enjoyed it no matter the outcome.

They have holes to fix with this roster and I hope Barnes gets the players to do so.

I'm disappointed with Bone and Bowden. I don't think improved much this year. I don't think they're playing up to their capabilities.

Also, almost every SEC team has a better recruiting class coming in than we do.

At this point, we don't have a recruiting class because we return everyone, including the POY and a second teamer. Some teams may get better, but teams like Arkansas, Missouri, and A&M will get worse.

There's no jinxing. The players are allowed to have fun with it. They then have to deal with the result either way. It's one thing to taunt another school, but it's another to do a fun video. It doesn't bother me.

For most of us, college basketball starts and ends with the NCAA tournament. Maybe next year the committee will wise up and let in some good mid majors who happen to slip in conference tournament play instead of overloading on also rans from the power conferences. The cinderellas and the blue bloods are what makes the tournament worth watching.
