TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

Considering Nunes' follies and that he Chairs this Committee, plus that Shiff is railing against its closure suggest taking any findings with a grain of salt. Frankly, the HIC is essentially disfunctional. The Senate Intel committee appears to still be working in a bi-partisan manner per design thankfully. I'll wait on its findings.

Edit: As a reminder this is the same committee that put out the bogus "Nunes Memo" that was refuted on virtually every count. Their credibility is virtually nil at this point.

Oh well if the far left partisan hack Shiff is railing against it then we all should take his word for it

However partisan and biased you believe Shiff to be, double that and you will be getting close to how partisan and biased the Nunes led house committee is.

It's hard to believe that they found no collusion between the Russians and Obama or Clinton.

What's your assessment?

Shiff and Nunes are EXACTLY equally biased?

My assessment is the same as it was and will continue to be until something changes (which is doubtful). You'll see bias or partisan based on what you want to see. In this case the right is not gonna see the truth because the president is an R. No different than the left will not set bias aside for Obama or a Clinton.

I see it with both on a level that its clear that neither have cornered that market being more or less to any substantial amount.

In 2 weeks time, Trump has lost his Secretary of State, Head Econ Advisor and Director of Communications. This a total MELTDOWN.

Nothing Trump can say minimizes this disfunction.

your right, Nunes scores 1 point higher than Shiff on the BS meter, ergo Nunes can not be trusted with anything, while Shiff is completely trustworthy?

Neither can be trusted as individual entities. That's why it was imperative for the house committee to try to be non-partisan. The fact that the attempt was not even made, relegates both sides to irrelevancy. To claim that the Nunes memo made a significant point, or that the house committee "findings" have any significance is ludicrous.

its all political theatre. Schiff is up for reelection right, nunes is probably too? the only investigation that matters is Muellers and its leaning political as well. no idea why congress has any powers of review beyond maybe its own members, even then I question it.

NO EVIDENCE OF COLLUSION IN THE SENATE EITHER...

The Senate Intelligence Committee is forging ahead with its investigation into Russian election meddling. But Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr told CNN on Monday that he had not yet seen any evidence of collusion or to substantiate the intelligence community's assessment that Putin was trying to help Trump win, though he said the committee was still investigating and had not reached conclusions on either matter.

"I've read a lot about it, but I haven't seen any" evidence of collusion, Burr said.

Asked about repeated efforts by Russians to coordinate with the Trump campaign, Burr said: "It's collusion on part of the Russians, I guess, but not the Trump campaign." Burr would not say if he agreed with the Intelligence Community's assessment that Putin tried to help Trump, calling it simply "a 30-day snapshot."

"I don't think we've seen anything that would substantiate that to this point," Burr said.

"Bottom line: Russians did commit active measures against our elections in '16, and we think they'll do that in the future," Conaway said. "It's clear they sowed discord in our elections. ... But we couldn't establish the same conclusions the CIA did that they specifically wanted to help Trump."

Exactly.

I don't understand the faux outrage over it. The tables have been flipped before and it wasn't any different.

If you don't see that, you re just as partisan and biased as those you re screeching about.

I’ve been away for a week. How many days are left? What’s the countdown?

Well House intel is stopping their Trump-Russia collusion probe. Senate intel chair, Burr said yesterday, 'no evidence of collusion' or 'that Putin favored Trump' that his committee's seen or found.

Mueller marches on, achieving a growing number of indictments of Russians and Americans as complicit in crimes. He marches on, achieving a growing number of plea bargains with Americans who are detailing the dirt to the Feds, to be used at trial in coming criminal prosecutions.

Mueller marches on, interviewing witnesses at length, who will be indicted if they do not tell the truth when they are questioned by investigators.

Mueller marches on in the pursuit of justice and the defense of America against the Russian attack, despite the danger of his being fired in a Saturday Night Massacre or suspected criminals being pardoned by a president in fear of the facts, the truth and the law.

The Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee are now leading participants in one of the great coverups in American history, while Robert Mueller, a decorated Marine and lifetime Republican, marches on in his battle for truth, justice and the American way.
