Kahlil declares for draft

He's gonna be great in the NFL. Don't you worry.

Everyone doubting him in this thread is gonna feel real stupid in due time.

As long as you are posting here, no other poster should ever have cause to feel stupid. You give the village idiots of the world a sense of hope, because none of them could ever sink as low as you.

With regard to James Conner, he plays behind Le'Veon Bell (arguably the best RB in the NFL). And for the season he averaged 4.5 YPC. That was higher than Bell's 4.0 YPC.

I still have the utmost confidence in James Conner. The Steelers are just a stubborn organization that prefers veterans over rookies. Once Bell is gone or injured, Conner will get his chance and he will prove to be a STAR.

He will be the 2nd best RB from this draft as I predicted last year.

Dude he had 44 carries.

Let it go.

It was a dumb prediction.

Your “track record” of “evaluating” players and projecting what they’ll do and where they’ll end up is awful. Everybody on here knows it, it’s why you get so much grief....because despite all your documented outlandish and incredibly wrong predictions, you keep dishonestly and condescendingly touting yourself as some guru of football talent. It’s like you think you’re a cornerback who keeps getting run by and burnt and you need a short memory to keep going. It’s bizarre.

-Marquez North being drafted no later than the 4th round
-Dylan Wiesman
-Kevin Hogan being one of if not the best qb of his draft class
-Danny OBrien being drafted and playing in the NFL
-Ethan Wolf being compared to 1st round draft pick Greg Olsen
-Jalen Hurd....period.
-Josh Dobbs as compared to Deshaun Watson.....one was on the scout team last year and the other was getting league MVP talk prior to being injured
-James Conner....he was your #1 running back in last year’s draft.

And on and on and on....and now you’re hanging your hat and staking your “reputation” on 1 guy, Alvin Kamara, who you advocated for being buried on UTs bench when he was here in favor of a guy who averaged 3.7 yards per carry his last season here and who is no longer even playing running back. And the ONLY reason you’re right so far about AK in the nfl is because you did with him what you do with EVERY Vol.....you state that they’re gonna be great, the best ever, a hall of famer...congrats, some ish you threw up against the wall stuck for ONE SEASON....so you’re not even right about him yet, let’s see how it plays out.

I’m forgetting dozens of others than other VN posters can surely remember and list here for your review.

So most of my supposed misses according to you are related to draft position. Okay. I'll accept that. I suck at predicting where guys will be drafted. Once again you seem to think that is important to me. I don't care where guys get drafted. I care about how they perform in the NFL. PERIOD.

With regard to Kevin Hogan, he was my #2 QB in the 2016 Draft. My #1 QB was Carson Wentz. You know the guy who was the leading MVP candidate last year.

When it comes to Deshaun Watson, if I remember correctly I never doubted his ability. I actually said he was very similar to Dobbs. However, our big disagreement with Watson was in relation to his DURABILITY. I told you he was injury prone. You said no. I was ultimately proven right when in his rookie year Watson tore his ACL for the 2nd time in 3 years.

I've been right about Deshaun Watson all along. He's a poor man's Josh Dobbs (which is no insult since Dobbs will be the greatest QB in NFL history) with serious durability issues.

With two serious knee injuries now to both knees, he won't be the same player anymore. He'll also suffer more injuries down the road ala Robert Griffin III.

Josh Dobbs on the other hand is sitting and learning behind a Hall of Famer on a team that has consistently won since the 1970s. Once he gets his chance he will be exactly what I said he would be. And you'll be over here rooting against him just so I won't be right. Because that's how petty you are.

Even if we play by your rules your number 2 best RB in the class is garbage, no mention of that?

How is he garbage? He averaged 4.5 YPC while playing behind Le'Veon Bell (a guy most consider the best RB in the NFL). Bell averaged only 4.0 YPC.

So in terms of run efficiency, Conner was more efficient than Bell and would also have had a great season if he got more touches.

Steelers are just a conservative organization. Remember it took Antonio Brown a few years before he became their #1 WR. As a rookie, even Antonio Brown didn't get many touches.

You’re delusional and if you keep this up I’ll continue bumping your most embarrassing prediction threads for the rest of the day.

This doesn’t end anytime soon, D4L.

You’re gonna be taking a lot of L’s today, boy.

Like I said learn to read better.

My post was very clear. As a pure runner I loved James Conner. But as an OVERALL running back Alvin was always my #1 in the 2017 Draft.

In addition, I made this clear in many posts last March and April when I consistently rated Alvin Kamara the #1 RB in the 2017 Draft whenever I ranked players.

You should research better if you lack adequate reading comprehension skills.

I am going to back away for a few hours because I'm very close to catching an infraction, but in the Gaulden thread I have conveniently highlighted a few more awful predictions of yours for you to reference.

It's only year 1. How is it a dumb prediction?

And I still stand by it. My RB rankings even now would be:

1. Alvin Kamara (Saints)
2. James Conner (Steelers)
3. Joe Mixon (Bengals)

The only guy I know wish I didn't rank so high is Christian McCaffrey. He's significantly worse running between the tackles than I thought he would be. I had him as a Pro-Bowl talent last year. Now I'll be shocked if he ever makes a Pro Bowl.

Stevan Ridley got 26 carries to Conner's 32. He also had a better YPC than Bell, and he had a TD where Conner did not.

Did I miss your Stevan Ridley prediction?

And played in a fraction of the games.

D4H is saying Conner is more efficient than Bell.

Bell had 406 touches last season for 1946 total yards. That’s an average of 4.79 yards per touch.

James Conner had 32 touches, less than a 10th of Bell’s workload, for 144 yards, which is 4.5 yards per touch.

But of course he’s right and the Steelers are wrong.

What an idiot. I now live in his head regardless of whether or not he will admit it. Because he won’t.

Stevan Ridley is a long time NFL vet. Why would I make any prediction about him? You guys are reaching so hard right now. You do know that not every NFL star lights it up as a rookie.

Just look at Antonio Brown's rookie season: 0 starts, 16 catches, 167 yards, 0 TDs.

I'm guessing if I said in 2010 Antonio Brown would be the best receiver in the NFL one day and a future Hall of Famer, you would be using his rookie year stats as proof I was wrong.

This here is a marathon. It's not a sprint. And I'm confident my top guys on the Steelers like Josh Dobbs and James Conner will win the marathon in the end when they become the elite players I've predicted they would be.

That's never happened. You're just making stuff up now.

KMac is good at holding up at the point of attack. And on third down he proved to be a effective bull rusher.
It most certainly did. I can't remember which game but one time I watched the o-lineman introduce his backside to the turf. Regarding an effective bull rusher, not sure how you can say that with a straight face. He rarely if ever pressured the QB. He has a grand total of 1.5 sacks. And, in before you say, "yeah, but he pressured him and Barnett or someone else cleaned it up". NOT.

Antonio Brown as a rookie:

0 starts
9 games played
16 catches
167 receiving yards
0 receiving TDs

Rookie years are not a predictor to future success. Some of the best players in NFL history like Tom Brady and Antonio Brown were nobodies as rookies.

Just know that I'm still 100% confident in James Conner. He will be one of the best RBs in the NFL very soon.

Okay buddy, go tuck your tail in between your legs and sit in the corner.

I’ll be back on later and I hope to have a response from you in the Gaulden thread.

Have fun in 5th period Geometry.

Interesting.

So when you have no response you just go to name calling.

Thank you for admitting defeat.

What name did I call you? Buddy? Come on now.

You're on track to break the VN record for most L's taken in a day at this rate.

L

I should have said when you have nothing to say you respond like a child talking about Ls.

I made a clear point about why rookie year stats (especially at a conservative organization like the Steelers) don't mean much when it comes to future success.

Antonio Brown who is currently the best WR in the NFL had just as little an impact as a rookie as James Conner. Proving that your point about Conner was wrong.

If you’re gonna blame an NFL franchise instead of admit that it was a crappy prediction then you have no business making predictions in the first place.

But hell, I’ll let this one go for now because I feel bad for you. Nobody respects your opinions, it’s sad, really. Don’t get me wrong—you did it to yourself, still sad, though.

No, I was asking where you predicted that James Conner would put up similar numbers to Stevan Ridley. I mean, if you nailed that prediction, I want to give you credit.

How about posting some examples of your assessment? The few times I watched him through the binoculars, he was getting driven backwards, was completely ineffective and contributed to our lousy defense.
Still waiting on your examples. Since you studied film, it should be easy for you to provide. Then we can all go watch on YouTube and marvel at your football evaluation skills.

I don't care about your respect. I care about your attention.

And the fact everyone of my posts is at the tip of your tongue proves that I do have your attention.

Now go back to digging through my posts from last year to remind me how influential I am to you.

No. I predicted James Conner would be a Pro Bowl RB in his career and be the second best RB from the 2017 Draft.

And nothing I've seen thus far has me reconsidering that prediction at all.

So what you’re really desperate for is the attention of a bunch of strangers on an internet message board?

That’s actually kinda sad.
