Kahlil declares for draft

How about posting some examples of your assessment? The few times I watched him through the binoculars, he was getting driven backwards, was completely ineffective and contributed to our lousy defense.

KMac was smack dab in the middle of the worst run defense in the SEC and the 126th(out of 130) in the country.

That's never happened. You're just making stuff up now.

KMac is good at holding up at the point of attack. And on third down he proved to be a effective bull rusher.

Lol. Couldn’t occupy blockers, couldn’t keep blockers off his linebackers, couldn’t play his gaps to stop the run, couldn’t get penetration into the offensive backfield outside of the rare bullrush that led to nothing......and he was virtually allergic to the opposing teams’ quarterbacks. He started only 1 of 20 games he was healthy as a freshman and sophomore for a reason....he just wasn’t very good, despite having an all-time SEC great playing right next to him at DE for 2 of his 3 years. Finally, he anchored one of the worst run defenses in the country and SEC history last year as (finally) a starting DT.

As I said over the weekend, I hope he gets the right opportunity, commits himself to improving his weaknesses and winds up having a long, productive nfl career. He’s a good kid, he’s a Vol, so I hope he figures it out.

There are more than a handful of Vols over the years who were marginal players at best like KMac was at Tennessee, who have gone on to have decent pro careers. I hope KMac is the next to do do, but let’s get it straight.....there’s very little to no reason to believe he will based off how he played in college, no matter how many times you keep erroneously prattling on about him. You just don’t have an eye or any talent for this stuff....everybody knows this given your horrendous track record....except for you.

Track record? This is literally my second year doing a full draft evaluation. My guys last year just completed their rookie years. And the guy I had rated as the #1 RB won Rookie of the Year. A guy who everyone else had rated behind 2-3 other RBs.

I would say my track record is sterling thus far. And once Josh Dobbs proves himself in the NFL I will officially be the GREATEST talent evaluator in history.

Your track record is one of a habitual liar.

James Conner was your #1 RB in last year’s class. Not Alvin Kamara as you suggest.

Last April, less than 3 weeks before the NFL draft you made an entire thread about how James Conner was the best pure RB in the draft and even went so far as to put the phrase “James Conner is the best RB in this class” in writing. Below is a photo to refresh your memory.

BTW your number 1 RB in last year’s class had 144 rushing yards and 0 TD’s last season.

Yall just had unrealistic expectations for him from a production standpoint. I remember in 2015 when we signed him that Danny Shelton (a nose tackle from Washington) was entering the draft. And I compared Kahlil to him. I never expected Kahlil to be a high sack or TFL type of player. I expected him to be a dominant 1-technique. Now he was a solid to good 1-technique, but he wasn't dominant.

Yall just made the mistake of assuming he was a type of defensive lineman his body simply didn't support.

I love your enthusiasm but let's be realistic here. He was one of the many on defense that was just plain bad. Now did he have some moments, possibly, but you do not get run defense that bad if your defensive lineman is playing solid. To often he looked like he was playing linebacker with the other linemen or just headed toward nowhere if he broke through the line which he didn't seem to do.

And I like KMac and had high hopes for him but with all his hype and talking before he got here he was part of some of the worst defenses field though he was hurt and didn't play late in his sophomore campaign. Let's hope most of this was the general lack of development and cluelessness from the last staff.

He probably could've benefited from a year with a new staff.

I don't know how/why but there are some people on the board that don't seem to think this guy isn't a troll or completely delusional. This post should remove any doubt.

Never is a Bold Statement, I believe it has happened a few times, so your Assessment is once again full of misinformation and assumptions!

Your “track record” of “evaluating” players and projecting what they’ll do and where they’ll end up is awful. Everybody on here knows it, it’s why you get so much grief....because despite all your documented outlandish and incredibly wrong predictions, you keep dishonestly and condescendingly touting yourself as some guru of football talent. It’s like you think you’re a cornerback who keeps getting run by and burnt and you need a short memory to keep going. It’s bizarre.

-Marquez North being drafted no later than the 4th round
-Dylan Wiesman
-Kevin Hogan being one of if not the best qb of his draft class
-Danny OBrien being drafted and playing in the NFL
-Ethan Wolf being compared to 1st round draft pick Greg Olsen
-Jalen Hurd....period.
-Josh Dobbs as compared to Deshaun Watson.....one was on the scout team last year and the other was getting league MVP talk prior to being injured
-James Conner....he was your #1 running back in last year’s draft.

And on and on and on....and now you’re hanging your hat and staking your “reputation” on 1 guy, Alvin Kamara, who you advocated for being buried on UTs bench when he was here in favor of a guy who averaged 3.7 yards per carry his last season here and who is no longer even playing running back. And the ONLY reason you’re right so far about AK in the nfl is because you did with him what you do with EVERY Vol.....you state that they’re gonna be great, the best ever, a hall of famer...congrats, some ish you threw up against the wall stuck for ONE SEASON....so you’re not even right about him yet, let’s see how it plays out.

I’m forgetting dozens of others than other VN posters can surely remember and list here for your review.

Kelvin Taylor was his first massive turd of a prediction. His "2nd best RB in the 2016 draft" has yet to make an active roster.

And can you believe how lottery-winner-lucky Joey Bosa has been? #5 in sacks and #2 in tackles among DE's last season. Pretty good for a guaranteed bust.

READING COMPREHENSION FAIL!!!

I clear said best PURE running back. As in the guy who solely runs the ball the best. However, in the modern NFL, the running back position is about more than just running the ball between the tackles. It's about receiving and pass protection.

And as a receiver Alvin Kamara is so good that he beat out James Conner in my final rankings as an OVERALL running back. Alvin Kamara is more than just a runner. He's also an elite receiver. Which is why my comp for him was Marshall Faulk.

And if you looked at my OFFICIAL RANKINGS just a few weeks later I had Alvin Kamara ranked as the #1 RB and James Conner as the #2 RB.

So once again. Please learn to read.

Are you guys this bad at reading?

I clearly say in that post that Alvin is still my #1 guy because of his dual threat abilities as a runner and receiver.

And if that post isn't convincing you do know there is 100 page thread on the NFL forum here where I posted my OFFICIAL RANKINGS for the 2017 NFL Draft.

You can see that thread here: D4H's 2017 NFL Draft Review (Best Picks, Best Drafts, and Predictions)

Please tell me who my #1 RB was?

With regard to James Conner, he plays behind Le'Veon Bell (arguably the best RB in the NFL). And for the season he averaged 4.5 YPC. That was higher than Bell's 4.0 YPC.

I still have the utmost confidence in James Conner. The Steelers are just a stubborn organization that prefers veterans over rookies. Once Bell is gone or injured, Conner will get his chance and he will prove to be a STAR.

He will be the 2nd best RB from this draft as I predicted last year.

You’re delusional and if you keep this up I’ll continue bumping your most embarrassing prediction threads for the rest of the day.

This doesn’t end anytime soon, D4L.

You’re gonna be taking a lot of L’s today, boy.
