#BoycottNRA

Actually my take on Delta is they didn’t do an intestinal fortitude check before putting their logo on the NRA webpage. It’s not like this target on the NRA is anything new.

It's a business decision above all. It was an advertising campaign for both an nothing more. We agree. Niter instance is any different. If you want to say that FedEx has an NRA A+ rating and Delta an F, that is fine. Boycott.

It's a business decision above all. In the end a person is going to go with the cheapest shipping, What is the average savings for nra members to ship? Like you said. "members don't join for the discounts? And its not like the FedEx discount program is an exclusive club. So are you arguing that Delta shouldn't have dropped the deal because it offends you? Boycott them.

The medium size privately held companies usually have a deal with UPS or FedEx or both. They typically don't shop prices for every package they send. If a business owner was a staunch second amendment proponent, he may take offense to a company coming across as anti-second amendment and quit doing business with that company.

Fine. America. I can buy that item cheaper because this other company saves me 2 cents on shipping if I buy from them.

That's my point. Most don't shop around for shipping. Someone pointed out earlier that FedEx ships a lot of guns everyday. They don't have to be pro second amendment but they can't appear anti-second amendment.

I agree with you in that the companies are making a calculated risk that by dropping NRA they will gain more than they lose by keeping the discounts in place. We'll see how it turns out.

Sorry. I thought you were trying to argue that it would make a dent in the industry for that scenario. I can see a gun dealer or two taking that approach to tout their NRA fandom.

If Delta wants save money on taxes they sure as hell aren’t going to either of those states.

Why? 1% fuel tax compared to 15%. What is your basis for this claim?

Delta might just get more money from GA to stay. Delta has more leverage than the NRA when it come right down to it. You act like they have none.

Or, the status quo is maintained.

Again, which airport are they moving to?

I think it goes beyond just the fuel tax. Probably other taxes may be higher too. Just speculating.

Corporate tax rate is higher in New York. Virginia is the same as Georgia. With the exception being DC which significantly higher. This is much a do about nothing anyway.

"Was Nikolas Cruz an NRA member? No. Have any of the previous mass shooters been NRA members? I don't think so. In fact, the only NRA member I can remember who was involved in any mass shooting is the NRA instructor who stopped the Texas church shooter three months ago. It's funny how the Drive-Bys have forgotten about him."

NYC also has its own income tax. Property taxes are yuge. NY is one of the most aggressive states on tax enforcement. If you go up there from out of state for a day meeting they want you to withhold and send them income tax for that day’s salary. Then you have to file a return to get it back.

Who’re you quoting

How many of the school shooters were on mind altering drugs, and how many had a father in the home at the time of the shooting?

IDK just like you don't know the dynamics of Delta's agreement with Georgia to begin with. Do you? Of course not. Delta has the leverage is the point. Not the point on which state could give them the best unknowable deal at the exact airport. You seem to completely miss the only point I have tried to make to create a false one. It's what you do.

The only one threatening to screw with the status quo is the Ga grand stander.

I think you are afraid of Delta exposing the NRA's lack of power.

It would cost hundreds of millions of dollars to move such a major hub to another location. It’s not worth the relative pittance of this tax break, especially considering this issue could be revisited down the road. If I was a Delta stockholder I would be pissed if they even hinted at moving. They got caught out, play nice and smooth things over. Throwing a hissy and leaving would be a colossal waste of cash.

And throwing a hissy about tax breaks would be pointless in the big picture as well. Right. Delta is probably being bombarded with inquiries from other states right now that might be better for their bottom line. Let's make a deal. Sell you stocks now.

So the point that Delta is paying 14% more in fuel tax in GA means?

That happens in big business everyday. This is not some exception because of the situation.

A BOD would fire a CEO that caused such a disruption over 1% of revenue in a heartbeat. If it makes you feel better, dream on. Nothing will come of this.
