Mass shooting of the week, high school in parkland, FL.

A large portion of the population at the time saw their protest as a hissy fit without purpose.

Personally, I am glad to see kids taking an interest in the process. Whether I agree with them or not is not relevant. Taking a stand is worthy on its own.

Taking a knowledgeable stand is worthy. The Civil Rights movement wasn't based on a "hissy fit." It was based on what was happening and the systematic racism that was inherent at the time. People knew the problems and reacted in the fashion they thought would bring about change.

Gun control on the other hand probably displays the most ignorance from the masses of any current political topic out there. Because I'd dare say 99% of the time they are relying on teachers and the media to give them the "facts" in the matter.

Is this really "knowledge" you believe will be impartial?

I heard the Hogg kid in an interview saying that he supported 2A. He only wanted to figure out how to keep guns out of the hands of nutty people.

I want to know who is behind this whole charade. You just don't get a bunch of 16-18 year old kids To go on live television with the exact same message and talk about "partisan politics" "change" "no more NRA $" . There is no way this whole thing wasn't completely scripted. Also, all these kids are from the drama or improv club. Weird how they picked who would speak.

Which would bring us back into the debate we are currently having...

What conditions, specific mental health or medical conditions, are truly deal breakers in the long term when it comes to revoking the rights of those citizens?

If that’s all he had been saying, then I think he wouldn’t be recieving the flack he’s getting.

I just give you **** because you turned down an exceptional platform like an AR-10 that's not so picky on ammo.

gun aint so picky on the ammo I have used. only adjustment on the gas is how much kick I want in the gun. Since I am not overly worried about the other end.

Ok, I think R's should compromise here and pass a bill that bans assault weapons.

Liberals will have better FEELZ, and gun owners see no impact since assault weapons are already banned. Win/win

It’s like the Sandy Hook thing. Many of the “parents” that spoke out just so happen to be professional actors with some even using fake names when giving interviews. There’s a lot more to that situation than we will ever know, not unsimilar to the coverup going on in Vegas.

You should be worried about the other end. Who knows when it's going to take a notion to start popping off rounds at a passing ice cream truck or something.

I know a lot of people have a lot of thoughts on Sandy Hook. I don't know enough to speak on it intelligently, but I typically don't subscribe to conspiracy theories. However, the thing in Vegas has definitely left me with some questions. Nearly 60 were killed and it was talked about for a week? We know nothing much about the gunman, his girlfriend just vanished, he snuck multiple rifles into a hotel in one of the most watched cities in the world. It's like the whole thing went away. Not to mention, multiple people have died that were at the event days and weeks later.

It’s worth your time looking up Sandy Hook actor videos on YouTube. There is real proof that a few of the parents were pro actors.

ice cream trucks is small time. I am going after Brinks trucks. I hear that money jingling and I come running out.

I know. My point is that the debate needs to be had. Right now our law makers on both sides are being obstinate jacka$$es.

No, just no! Somebody needs to take your computer away because you obviously cannot discern fact from fiction.

Explain the “father” laughing in a more than awkward manner as he walked to the podium to address the media, just days after the shooting. If you want to bury your head in the sand and be a fool, have at it, but explain this while you do.

We’ll wait.

ETA:

I don’t pretend to know what happened, but collectively, the Sandy Hook and Vegas massacres have not been satisfactorily answered. Now, you can piss and moan, and throw a tantrum, but the actions of certain players and the “official” storyline are not corroborative of one another.

Mostly it's the gun control side that's acting like asses. When you lead off the discussion with the words "ban" and "more regulation" you turn off any willingness to listen.

I'll listen and discuss measures that can help but **** no when it comes to more regulation or bans.
