Mass shooting of the week, high school in parkland, FL.

Before we spend billions and raise my taxes doing that we should come up with something that might actually be effective.

Next time the guard is in the john. Or taking the deposit to the bank. Or on the other side of the school.
Maybe you are starting to see the light.

Unless you lock these kids in like prison, this will happen again. And the luthers will be back... again, blaming inanimate objects and not the killer.

Life is hard and it isn't fair. Tradegies happen. You can only do so much to stop them.

29 people died today as a result of drunk drivers. And yesterday and the day before. And guess what. 29 will die TOMORROW. Yet random roadblocks are a heinous violation of civil rights. And the last I checked, the right to drink and drive was not a part of the Constitution. Drunk drivers are protected but by Che we have to do something about them guns.

This is an attack on the very foundation this country was built on, and liberals are just fine with it. I hope I am long dead when this fruit ripens.

Maybe you are starting to see the light.

I've made those points before. The number there and in school shootings period is a fairly insignificant number. If we are talking about saving lives, there are much better areas. I full agree about drunk driving and have said that before. There was talk in this thread that mandatory interlock devices would save many more lives. Things like that would save more lives than Paul Blart guarding schools.

Let's also quit talking about the shooter for weeks on end. These people want attention. They see shooters on the TV every month. They want that attention. Move along.

Posting stuff like this is completely unnecessary. If you’re not a believer, then that’s the only “prayer” you have. For those of us who are, we believe in the power of God, and most have seen it first hand. A voting booth will not save you.

By all means, be sure to pray to your “blue sky monster” when you go under the hood to cast your ever important vote.

That’s just what she said.

And yes, we sat up top because that’s the only tickets we could find under $100! It sucked losing, but it was still a good time. Hope you had fun other than the loss of course.

We had fun but we hate GA so it was doubly bad.

Also, sorry about how harsh my previous post was...totally unnecessary.

Ok LG. You’re a hack. You’re not interested in debate you just want drive by emotional responses. Go join Luther and welcome to the facist agenda.

And I’ll take your lack of a reply on the deer rifle vs AR question as a yes the outcome would have been the same. Thus no need to ban ARs needlessly again.

Pure speculation and quite weak. The guy who is on offense and with benefit of surprise, armed with an AR 15, is quite a favorite over a guy with a handgun, even well trained. Not to mention the host of risks created by a handgun walking around a high school on a daily basis.

How about you have no idea what you're talking about.

And furthermore, I know you love the idea of free killing zones like schools, but drastic times, drastic measures.

PUT MORE THAN A SINGLE ****ING COP ON A CAMPUS OF 3,500 STUDENTS!

The more you fight that, the more blood is on YOUR hands, schmuck.

No offense taken, we all get a little edgy in here. I’m different than most, we can argue till our heads explode, and I can drop it in another post or thread like nothing was said. It’s a gift I’ve learned from living with a bunch of females. Ha

I'm fine with putting more cops on such a campus. 100% agree with you.

Armed football coaches on the silly theory it will be like in the movies and he'll save the day then marry the guidance counselor he's always secretly loved, not so much.

Thanks.

This is the first thing that needs to be addressed then imo

During the school day there should be one way in and one way out. I have other ideas pertaining to that but I would think most would agree that’s a good starting point.

It’s an open air school. It’s multiple buildings, holds more than 3,000 students. This isn’t a simple square building we are talking about a campus.

Put up a fence around campus with one way in and one way out. Have armed deputies at the entrance and persons/vehicles are subject to search upon entry

Who is paying for that and how?

Tax dollars. I would sacrifice $0.02 a paycheck in order to pay for making high schools safer. I have no problem with that considering it would be real steps taken in order to protect campuses.

Grassley-Cruz bill was on the table that would have added $300 million for school safety. Pass that and allocate the money properly.
