To be honest he's been setup the whole time and he just doesn't realize it. It rather funny too because his people have rarely even come in to help him out. They are probably hoping he just shuts up.

The biggest difference is that we have always had a peaceful transition of power in this country and the vast majority of Americans accept the leadership no matter how idiotic they believe it is (left or right). The left further knows the first step to eating an elephant is that first bite. (Obama care for example gets you closer to government provided health care).

"Fundamentally change" the country by undermining it's very foundation - The Constitution - and you have the next bite. Baby steps.

As many have stated, there are so many facets and angles to the school shooting problem that need addressing. But you cannot see past your own ignorance to even speak of the matter. Hoosier started a good thread about different things that could be done, some could be done rather quickly.

But did you even want to debate any of those points? No, your idiocy shows out yet again by dismissing everything and deciding you have to have the conversation about guns and only about guns, and **** everyone else and what they think. You'd rather leave it up to a bunch of politicians in Congress that play ****nuts for months on end, arguing over every word in a bill before admitting nothing will get done. And in the meantime, another school shooting occurs and you want to blame firearms again.

Im sure when the founding fathers wrote the constitution they imagined a scenario where an 18 year old mentally ill kid can legally purchase an AR (which didnt exist in those days) and attenpt to kill everyone in his school.

When I used to travel international gun ownership would eventually come up. And I always welcomed the discussion.

What I believe is just something Luther’s mind can never resolve. About 250 years ago we said ENOUGH and got off our asses and threw our overlords out. And we had a great bunch of people in place to give us a framework to make sure we don’t have to do it again!!

We don’t hate our government. Hell we picked them. But we expect them to work for us, stay the hell out of our way, and basically leave us the hell alone. The basic American spirit doesn’t need a bunch of damn overlords! But it’s a function we have to have and it’s in our best interests to have it functionally for day to day business of our country. But not day to day business of us individuals. So stop dictating minutia items like which particular type of firearm within a given firearm action type (semi auto here) that’s already been approved and accepted and widely proliferated that it’s too damn late to do anything about it anyway. And no that does not and will not EVER mean you can have them back. Ever.
