Memphis 247 putting out the information today that Tyler Harris will not be going to Memphis...Baylor, Mississippi State and Tennessee are pursuing him the hardest and have the best chances of landing him barring a coaching change in Memphis which is unlikely.
The Tubby era has been a joke so far. Memphis football is more relevant than their hoops program.. How pathetic.

I don't agree with miles better. Both had great first steps and could get into the lane with ease. I just think Barnes keeps us from seeing Bones talents on display. Not saying it isn't for the better of the team but I think Bone would dazzle us with his quickness into the lane in a more free style of play.

Or a roll the ball out and let em go like Jerry had

I see what you're saying.

Bone is quick. Doesn't finish all that well though. Harris did from day one. On another level.

Stats wise they are the same kind of shooter.

I don't recall anyone playing D for Jerry but you may be right on that .

Harris is a 3% better shooter from 3 on much, much higher volume, and averaged twice as many steals over their careers.

Harris could have been a much better shooter if he didn't force so many.

IF Bone could finish his drives to the basket at a high percentage, then a comparison to Harris wouldn't be unreasonable IMO. Bone plays under control and effectively distributes the ball from the point. He can get into the lane almost at will.....but just struggles to finish when he drives for some strange reason? Last game he even had the break away flub where he got stuck between a dunk and a lay up. He's got the physical tools to be much better IMO and I hope he continues to work hard on his game.

Tony Harris had skills. He wasn't coached and developed. Barnes, Devoe, or O'Neil would have gotten far more out of him. He could shoot far better than Bone... even if the percentages don't back it up. A lot of his shots were from Chris Lofton-like distance but minus the accuracy. He could fill it up toeing up the 3-point line but was usually taking them from 5-feet beyond. He was a poor man's Chris Jackson. Harris was kind of like Turner's shooting with Bone's dribbling.

I agree with you guys about harris being a better shooter other than the midrange game. Bone has become a very nice shooter on the midrange pull up jumper

I wonder if Bone is the player that frustrates CRB the most? Outside of possibly Pons, I see Bone as the most underachieving player on the roster. CRB is clearly a coach who prides himself on developing his players and while Bone is progressing it seems like there's a lot more potential waiting to show. He appears to have a good attitude so I'm optimistic he will continue to up his game - IMHO

I’m not sure there’s any doubt he’s the toughest guy for Barnes, but I also think he’s the guy Barnes is toughest on...kudos to Jordan for taking it though because not many 18-19 year olds would. I think Rick looked back at the video and stats after SC game and realized he messed up having Daniel in so long late, I look for him to have a slightly longer leash on Bone this game and give him every chance to get a few more minutes than usual.

Strikes me that CRB is hardest on GW. Being able to coach your best player that hard is a luxury to a coach as it sets the tone for the the rest of the team

From those who attend practice they say it’s Bone and not even close...a big part of that is probably the fact Williams does what Barnes ask most of the time and produces, you don’t see Williams being pulled from games nearly as often as Bone.

I would argue Bone does exactly what Barnes ask on offense anyway. Very controlled playing style now

I'd argue he is easiest on GW. Almost never pulls him out for mistakes

Everybody takes their share, but last game Daniel took the worst tongue lashing I’ve ever seen CRB dish out.

I think he’s hard on Bone but Bone is slightly behind because of his injury last season. He is about half a season behind the rest of his class. Barnes acknowledged this after the SCar game.

Don’t think so...if he did he wouldn’t have made the recent comments about them trying to get him to run for 2 years.
