If your guess turns out to be right and the staff may has even a slight thinking he is then I would make Harris top priority. And then maybe look at a grad transfer if Meyer and Ramey still thinks there will be 2 spots avaliable.

He wouldn't know if he has gotten away with it or not. Since he hasn't signed anywhere yet I assume he might not be a huge target even though he is connected to Louisville


But I do agree it might be making him look harder at the NBA

Definitely possible, especially considering he was committed to Louisville...but hard to see our staff getting involved with that but who knows. I am curious if we see more kids declaring for the draft this year because they are worried they’ll be ruled ineligible as more and more comes out, of that does happen I could see that pushing Simons to go the college route for a year.

Man, maybe I’m different but if I have taken anything I’m assuming I’m going to get busted by someone at some point in this thing. If they’re talking 50+ schools you’re talking about 200+ coaches that are gonna be talking, word is going to spread real fast who was offered/took what. If it was me and I had taken a dime I’m assuming I’m gonna get caught and I’m heading straight to the NBA if I have that opportunity.

I would bet anything that he was given money at some point.

Louisville has been proven to be as dirty as it gets and they didn't land a top 5 prospect by building a relationship with him.

I guess the bottom line for me is I doubt money has changed hands for a kid that hasn't signed yet. Discussed sure but not actually taken place. If that is the case he may be ok. JMO

Eh...Bowen was the only one linked to them and he’s definitely not the only 5* they’ve gotten. Now they’ve obviously been linked to other dirty stuff but I wouldn’t say it’s a forgone conclusion Simons took money from UL.

I think all 5* basketball players are on the take.

I think that's why we are where we are. College basketball recruiting is extremely dirty. Systematic corruption.

Less likely to tell on someone when you're doing the same thing.

You see how far reaching this FBI thing is. The reason for that is there is widespread corruption.

Harris and Hopson I would bet were paid.

Stokes - no. Unique situation.

Hubbs - no. He wasn't really in the AAU scene much was he?

^^^ I think that same year that Austin Nichols was paid indirectly by Memphis.


Also, maybe I should rephrase that. Not necessarily every single 5*. I'm talking more so about the big time one and done kids.
