The truth about guns is it's better for you to have one and the other person not to have one. The NRA nuts want everyone to have one thus minimizing the advantage of owning one. Now the boisterous fear rhetoric spewed by the right wing have jeopardized one of the foundations that made this country great and that is Freedom.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

I'd dare say protecting ourselves and each other qualifies as "common defense." And in context, the United States had no standing army when the Constitution was written. Mostly irregular militia at the time that was called on to be shopkeepers and farmers one day, soldiers the next.

It amazing how far the left has moved us with the feel good, helicopter moms, participation trophy, please don't look at my baby wrong or it's feelings with get hurt in the wrong direction and now want to quote the one amendment to the Constitution that keeps us from sliding over the cliff to forever become just another country in the world. Sorry guys, I stand behind the constitution as written and will gladly protect myself and my neighbors from ill wishers.

I had forgotten really how pathetic and ignorant of actual gun ownership and handling posters like Luther, OBX, Clearwater, and Mick are. LG I knew about and he didn't surprise at all. It's depressing that we have such snowflakes in the world and that they vote.

It's kinda weird that LG seems the move even keeled of the usual suspects this go around. He's actually (for the most part) using logic and reason rather than a "well, just because I think it should be" argument.

I doubt that holds up much longer though.

Then I guess we need to abolish the 2nd Amendment entirely, hire way more police so there is one on every block, increase military so they can properly secure both borders so nothing can get through and start a federal police force.
