Weinke is in?

Are you kidding me? It’s not his fault Butch was a moron when it came to the offense.

Hurd was a stud, and was good despite playing in a terrible system, Kamara fit better yet Butch kept him sidelined for Hurd, Kelly was good too but just so happened to start during UT’s worst year historically.

The running backs produced despite playing behind a terrible o-line, and a terrible offensive system (mainly Hurd).

So you are making my point actually meaning I could have coached Hurd and Kamara behind our line.

Remember I said the past 5 years have been average!

:thud:

And that’s your opinion. You think I’m uninformed and that’s fine. I can live with that.

I don't think it, I'm sure of it. You haven't offered a single thing here to support your guarantee he'll be out in 4 years, except thoughts derived by what you've dreamed up on your own, and some Ill conceived notion that you're not only entitled to think that way, but it's also a certainty, because of what 3 previous staffs did here.

Not a single tangible reason that has a thing to do with any coach on this staff.

I just don't get that thought process at all.

I still suggest you go do some reading on these guys, and then tell me why they're gone in 4 years.

But yet he's been here since 13' knowing Jones was a moron and never left? Knowing Jones' days were number.

Its interesting why he never jumped at another offer over the years.

Probably because the money was great for his position. Half a million is pretty good for a RB coach I would think.

It’s an opinion dude. Get over it. You asked me why I felt that way and I answered.

I don’t understand your need for me to agree and think like you. I’m not bent out of shape over what you think, and you shouldn’t care about what I think.

I am interested to see what he can do. CRG I thought was a good coach but with new coaching hires, you have to have your guys in there and if he thinks Weinke is a better fit than so be it. The way Hurd, Kamara, and Kelly played CRG did his job to the best of his ability whether or not Butch had the final say in what they did offensively. The run game was our only offense last year and it wasn’t world beating due to the other failures by the offensive scheme and personnel

convenient retort...what exactly about your guarantee was opinion again?

all fine well and good. now, i would tell you that some of this is at least misinformed.

if you go look at the defensive production before/after Pruitt at both GA and FSU, you might find more improvement than what you've noted here.

if you go look at what Helton was able to do with the passing game and QB's at WKU and at USC, you might find more definitive evidence of what kind of offensive mind he really is, and what kind of productivity he's trying to attain.

and if you go back and look at who was doing a lot of the recruiting at FSU, GA and Bama, you might find that Pruitt was one of the primary guys that brought in a lot of that talent he was fortunate enough to coach. and the ones he wasn't, love the guy. you saw who got the gatorade bath after the NT game, right? it wasn't Saban.

and i think if you read more around this whole message board, you also might find that there's a pretty decent # of people that understand, and recognize, the differences in what Kirby took over at UGA vs what Pruitt is taking over here. so while it's better imo than what CBJ took over, it's not even close to the same as what Kirby took over two years ago.

what it seems like to me, is that you've made your mind up, and you're not interested in seeing/reading/hearing anything that may be contrary to what you've already decided to think, regardless of the origin of that contrary information.

so, don't take my word for it...i'd tell you to go find out for yourself...that's what i did.

Read every word and liked it. Solid post. Some things take a bit of splaining yet many on here are too stubborn or determined to pour cold water at every chance, to see how things really are shaping up for the better. Thanks.

I'd rather have Gillespie.

I lime him alot I guess people lime zamir white Eddie lacy etc all have skill set and vision that can't be taught only enhanced....and that what our staff failed to recruit at the highest level I would say it has more to do with philosophy and recruiting than anything

If he's as good at his craft as some here claim he could have found comparable pay and job security pretty easy.

Ah. We obviously don't run in the same circles lol

Yep. And he probably will, give or take a few bucks. No one should worry about crg. He'll be fine regardless.

I was once watching an NFL pregame and saw Peyton Manning coaching the RB. He was pointing out blocking and also route running.

Kind of tough to compare the GOAT's coaching up of players. We can only hope anyone we bring in has that fire to have everyone around them be their best.
